It will go to Brian Kelly, because he took top 5 recruiting classes and made to the National Championship. You know like your suppose to do, yet Notre Dame has failed to do for years.

Notre Dame has only had 1 top 5 class over the last few years. They're consistently top 15, and even top 10 at times, but rarely top 5.

Its not like Kelly made Cininatti football relevant with a 12-0 season and BCS berth..oh wait. Notre Dame was sooooo good when Kelly took over weren't they? Come on!

For God sakes a freshman QB is leading them to a Title Game! Kelly is a phenomenal coach! Ill say this as well..KELLY IS THE NEXT URBAN MEYER.

Nice recognition, but won't get it. Kelly will win, if BOB doesn't. I'm really not that upset with BOB winning the B1G COTY award. He did remarkable things holding that situation together. Next year the dumpster fire will start in Happy Valley.

I can see the B1G getting away with giving him the award, but I don't see it on the national level. Whether he deserves it or not, he is associated with a marked program and that will be his achilles heel.

The problem with that argument is context. Ohio State's record last year was affected by a pretty sizeable number of suspensions. I believe we would have won more games (even with last year's coaching staff) had they not dealt with issues like three of the top sixish OL, top WR, top two RBs all being suspended for varying lengths to start the season and having the starting QB leave the team altogether. Urban inherited a pretty stable roster the next season and was able to bring in a solid class to supplement it. One exception is at linebacker and clearly that took a while to overcome.

BOB had neither of those advantages. In fact, PSU's best recruits ended up playing for Ohio State and some key contributors including their best returning offensive player are playing for other teams. None of which can be attributed to BOB.

Not sure I agree with that either. If things didn't go well his entire team could transfer with no penalty. Meanwhile, he can't leave without a hefty buyout.

The Domers also played a tougher schedule than the Bucks. That will definitely be taken into consideration.

Luckily, I think people other than the B1G press vote on the award, so we should be safe from that atrocity. It would be great if UFM won it (and a subtle FU to the B1G press), but I think it'll be BOB (b/c he save the program from implosion -- for the time being, at least) or BK (undefeated and MNC game-bound).
