Kentucky has a really talented team full of top level recruits. Right now it seems pretty fair to say that they seem to be better individually than they are as a team. It will be interesting to see how (and if) this team develops and matures as the season goes on. For now at least, Florida looks to be the king of the SEC in hoops.

2 years ago they looked pretty crappy most of the season then beat us in the tournament and went to the final four.  They are full of really raw young talent.  They lost their top 6 scorers and no one on the roster had ever started a game coming into this year.  I imagine they'll be pretty tough by the end of the year, but it wouldn't surprise me if this team didn't do much either.  What made their team so awesome last year was they had Teague, Gilchrest and Davis in the freshman class, but they returned some great talent in Lamb, Jones, and Miller.  This year they have no experience at all.

I don't know jack about the NBA. Does he earn less money in the D league or does his contract dictate he gets NBA cash there? How does that work?

I had to look up the answer to your question.

Looks like the NBA agreement for contract players is that if the player was assigned to the D League they will continue to earn their current NBA salary and will continue to be included on their NBA team's roster, although listed as "inactive" while they are in the D League.

Alright.

Some guys in hockey have 2-way deals. Meaning they draw NHL paychecks when on the NHL roster and minor league money when down in the AHL.
