This might be the only shot Petrino was gonna get at coaching for 2013. Most schools were avoiding him like the plague. Obviously if he has success, which he should, he won't be in Bowling Green, Kentucky, for long.
Petrino = George O'Leary... They are top 10-15 caliber coaches who will never get another job at a perennial top 30 program, because of lies/shady behavior (unfortunately Tress probably falls into this category as well)... If they were basketball coaches, on the other hand they could be hired at Kentucky tomorrow if Calipari left.

Petrino to Illinois within 2 years
Wow that's quite a fall from grace though. WKU was one of the last programs to make the jump to FBS football. He probably will only be there a couple of years, but weird as it sounds he may do very well there. That's a small program with a nice history at the old 1A level, and some passionate fans. I used to spend quite a bit of time at WKU and their football and basketball games were always a lot of fun.
