Sounding more and more like the Kiffen family has no balls

Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.

You would have to wonder why Kiffin wants USC to get an NCAA smack down again

Wherever you are, there you be!

johnblairgobucks's picture

what benefit would under inflated footballs give USC and not Oregon?

BTwrestle04's picture

Each team uses their own balls....

LouGroza's picture

This along with the double jersey number issue makes Kiffin look like a guy that will do anything to win. NCAA are you watching this? Still doesn't seem to be working.

@JohnBlair,  each team uses their own balls, and deflating makes it easier to grip and hold onto.

OSUBias's picture

I think he misunderstood the USC gameplan of "taking the air out of the ball" to keep the Oregon offense off the field.

Kiffin was at USC when all the FTM stuff and Reggie Bush fiasco went down.  He showed a willingness to break many NCAA rules in his short stint at Tennessee, while claiming to not have known .  He's also had numerous questionable situations arise this season.

The crap that is going on at USC is really sad.

From the report - "The student manager confirmed that he had, without the knowledge of, or instruction from, any USC student-athlete, coach, staff member or administrator, deflated those game balls after they had been tested and approved by officials prior to the game."
LMAO!   There is no way the mgr did this on his own.  Kiffin just gets sleazier and sleazier every day.  From deceiving about his coaches poll vote to changing game jerseys to deflating footballs, what is next?  All these things are nit picky, but it just makes you wonder how much goes on behind the scenes in recruiting and NCAA standards that can't be caught by a simple pressure gage, poll verification, or game film.  Where there is smoke there is most certain to be fire.   And, here we have the student manager covering up to protect either players, coaches, or both (I realize that is just my opinion - I have a lot of experience with student managers - he did this at someone's request).
Also, doesn't this fall under the new NCAA regs?  Which would mean Kiffin is responsible.  LOL!

There's just nothing about this guy I like.  I wish he were still coaching in the SEC.  It'd be nice to see him run one of their programs into the ground.

Alhan's picture

But he was at Tennessee! He couldn't have done much to make them worse could he? :-P

Do you really count him being there though?  He didn't have enough time to really make them a steaming pile.  I was thinking it'd be nice to see him at Georgia or LSU or something like that one day.

I would have loved to see him at LSU, not at Georgia though. They've done nothing to deserve my ire as an OSU fan, plus my mother is an UGA alum.

swank427's picture

There is no way that a student manager would do this on his own. This had to come from higher up. Kiffen = sleazeball

hodge's picture

I can't decide if I want Kiffin to bomb out of the NCAA spectacularly, or just keep tat sleazebag at USC to he can continue running it into the ground.  I might not love Chip Kelly, but I'd root for him and Oregon anyday over USC.

buckeyeEddie27's picture

This is pathetic.    What can you possibly gain by doing this?

I know there's a game Saturday, and my ass will be there.

Additional probation, loss of scholarships and the fact that they are a repeat offender it should be a no brainer that the NCAA comes down hard on them.  Now that I took off my rose colored glasses, nothing will happen.  Sorry to waste everyones times.

A friend of mine said Lane Kiffin seems like the type of dickhead who would give you the shitty controller when playing video games.
Spot on.

Lane Kiffin doesn't care what we think about him. His future is so bright, he's gotta wear shades...

Borrowed Time's picture

such a pile of BS. USC expects us to believe a student manager would do that on his/her own?

Alhan's picture

If I had been the student manager, there's no way I would have taken the fall if I had been following someone's explicit instructions. Especially not for that guy...

buckeyeEddie27's picture

If it wasn't explicit instructions that lead that kid to do that, it was certainly the culture of the program.  And who does that start and end with? The Head Coach.  In this case, the Slimy A-hole Head Coach.

I know there's a game Saturday, and my ass will be there.

Does this mean there will be an asterisk next to Barkley's name if he wins the Heism....oh wait...that's not going to happen anyway.
