"There is a bit of projecting here with Ohio State's Thomas, who played his first two seasons in Jared Sullinger's shadow." (si.com)

Cant forget about Craft being listed as #4 on there...

Love to see Deshaun getting more hype and he needs to have a big year scoring the rock if the Buckeyes want to make another deep run and contend for another B1G title.  Seeing Craft listed as 4th is quite surprising considering his offensive game is still suspect in my opinion and I don't see a defensive stopper being awarded player of the year.

I have no doubt Deshaun will score a ton this year. This is what he's been waiting for.  Deshaun unleashed!

What I really want out of him is strong leadership.  He's a veteran now and this team needs him to act like it.

I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.

This team is going to be interesting to watch develop as the season goes on. I hope that both Craft and DT can live up to their respective hypes -and more. The Big Ten is going to be a meat grinder this year for sure.

Just wanted to point out that he did specifically say that the number next to the player's name is not necessarily the order in which he has them ranked.

The most sensible way for me to get to 50 is by using a grouping system. Thus this isn't an in-order ranking of the 50 best players in college hoops; the numbering is merely a way of showing how I reach my final 50.

If you look at the list closer, you'll notice that, with the exception of a few Kentucky players in one of the tiers, he groups the players by the schools. In each tier, all OSU players are together, all Mizzou players are together, etc. So while Thomas could be his #3 player on his list, it doesn't actually mean that here. He's just in that 2nd tier group that has the best chance to overtake Zeller or McDermott. Just wanted to clear that up for other readers/posters since the title of the thread/link is a little misleading.

I just can't see Craft being a serious contender for POY, it just doesn't seem like he would be able to score enough to garner that much attention.  He would have to average at least 12-15 ppg I would think.  He could win defensive player of the year I think though.
