The only thing missing from the all-B1G selections is a Kirk Ferentz COY award.

Micah Hyde had as many drunk driving arrests this season as interceptions.
The funny part is that MSU fans are saying more Spartans should be on the 1st team defense, Nebraska thinks more 'Huskers should be on 1st team offense, Penn State fans think all of their starters should be on 1st team everything, and Northwestern fans are getting in the act of complaining about the teams. Go 8-0 or shut the hell up.
With trolling this hard, I fully expect Jim Tressel to be named COY this year.
Probably be a lot more OSU snubs in the coming years. Meyer doesn't try to be buddies with the other coaches like Tressel did. I don't really care, though. I'll take conference championships and give the rest of the schools all the meaningless conference awards.
As a fan I agree, but these awards mean something to the players.. Sure they want to win football games, but to say you we're Big Ten defensive player of the year carries a lot of weight and coaches should use objectivity rather than petty personal vendettas. These awards are about the players.. not the coaches. They need to remember that
It is B1G coaches, after all. Look at their teams and you can see how good they are at evaluating talent. Also, if the media votes a player all-conference, then said player can claim they are all conference. Hopefully the snubbed players use it as motivation for next year.

So many baffling picks and snubs, but the one that confuses me the most is Travis Howard. Does the media pay ANY attention when they're watching games?
Can't wait for Shazier to wreck the Big 10 next season.
Guarantee they saw he was tied for the league lead in INTs and voted him based on that.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."

It's good the OSU players are getting slighted. IT will only piss them off and make them work harder in the offseason and come back stronger next year. Coach Meyer said he wants "an angry team." I am sure things like this will help make that happen. I really pity the B1G next year. It's going to be ugly.
