I don't know... at quarterback? Gonna be really tough to persuade someone to switch from somewhere where they may start immediately to another place where he will ride the bench for at least 3 years... not happening.
YES please i would love for trubisky to be in this class!!!!! i think we botched this one, but i highly doubt we coud get him after taking barret's commitment and yes i think trubisky is better than barret all around.
I think this was a mistake taking Barrett over Trubisky. Barrett has a lot of upside but OSU really needs 2 QBs in this class. Barrett is athletic enough and I think he can play multiple positions. I don't think Cardale Jones is the answer after Braxton.
I saw him play multiple times this season and last, but the kid has great vision and awareness on the field. His mental makeup is tremendous and there is a lot of upside with Mitch as well. He runs the spread offense so well. The Mentor offense is very similar to Meyer's spread because Mentor's coach, Trivisonno, an alum of Bowling Green, went to a coaching clinic when Meyer was there and most of Mentor's offense came from Meyer.
There is a extremely tiny chance (~1%) that Meyer could flip him, which there is potential for a coaching change at UNC, either with Fedora moving elsewhere (UT, Arkansas, etc..) or OC Blake Anderson takes the HC job at Southern Miss.
Regardless, it is on Meyer, he had his shot with Trubisky earlier this year and he blew it. If Meyer wanted 2 QBs, he should have made sure he got Mitch and was committed to 2 QBs in the spring.
With scholarship reductions, (not to mention next year's QB class) 2 QB's is something we can't afford this year. The staff is rolling w/ Barrett and I think he fits Urbans offense better then Trubisky does.
no way. he doesnt fit. if push comes to shove and the need qbs theres some athletes in this class such as marshall for example who could lend an extra body.
I dont know karate but i do know crazy and i'm not afraid to use it.

Brantley is stuck in mud, so I disagree. Trubisky runs an option power offense, much like what Urban likes at OSU. He reads a lot like Drew Barker, and against MUCH better competition.
That being said, he is more in the Tebow mold than the Manziel-type (like Barker). Trubisky is a bruiser.
Take another stab at it?..yes I think its worthwhile but i know someone whos very close to the situation and Trib fell in love with North Crolina and isnt about to flip.especially when he sstaring at a starters position right from the get go
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
Toledo Whitmer H.S. just beat Mentor last weekend like a red-headed step child, and to my knowledge(or lack thereof), I don't know if any of the Whitmer kids have any D-1 college offers.
Whitmer won 62-35, for the record, and shall play Moeller this weekend in Canton(I will be attending).
And Nick Holley, Whitmer's QB, ran for over 250 yards. Does Urban effing Meyer remember how to get to Toledo?
One other point: Whitmer beat Toledo Central Catholic earlier in the season, 42-0. Yes, that Central that has top rated and Ohio State DB commit, Jayme Thompson and QB Kizer(that OSU has shown an interest in).
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
could be that it's just a perfect mix of kids that grew up playing together, have a high overall base of talent, and just have crazy chemistry. Sometimes things are funny that way.
The Yankees can buy a veritable all-star team every year, but it's the Giants who win the World Series, despite not having a single player that's going top ten in your fantasy leagues, just because they play fundamentally sound, have great chemistry, and just flat out have fun playing the game. it's the beauty of athletics
whitmer has a great O line and a really good program. live up here in toledo inwash local school dist seen holley a few times. kids a blue collar bruiser but no way in heck he plays for OSU.
I dont know karate but i do know crazy and i'm not afraid to use it.

I went to Central Catholic (25 yrs ago), and live in Wisconsin now, but isn't Central Catholic DIV II, while Whitmer is DIV I. Whitmer has about 2x the student popluation as CCHS....
Yes, Central Catholic is DII. Also if anybody was wondering Whitmer will be playing against my alma mater Cincy Moeller(Alex Gall) in the DI championship game.
I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.

Ohio State always has the option to play Jalin Marshall at QB. A better runner than anyone, but Braxton.
He doesn't fit. See: John Brantley.
