Of course I despised Braylon, but there is no disputing the kid was a serious talent at WR. If his brother is even half as good then he's a great pick-up for Minnie.
Braylon hasnt been happy with UM since they hired Rich Rod... his NFL intros have been "Braylon Edwards, Lloyd Carr's University of Michigan" for a while
He was a turd in Cleveland no doubt, but I like the fact that he trolls his own University and he is big into the charity work. Watched a show on the BIG 10 network that was about Braylon helping a few kids get into OSU..was pretty awesome stuff.
Crazy thing; Braylon has endowed a permanent, full-ride football scholarship at Michigan; slightly-infamously linked to his #1 jersey, which is to be awarded by coaches supposedly for special talents at WR. The scholarship is used every year, as I understand it.
Just not enough scholarships and/or need for his skills as a scatback/returner/slot receiver. He is fast, as far as I know.
I think the question a lot of people have, is whether Michigan indicated to the Edwardses that Berkley could be a preferred walk-on. If Braylon is endowing a football schaolarship at Michigan, and if he is also making large donations for th education of kids in Cleveland as promised long ago; why not have Berkley go to Michigan as a preferred walk-on? His family can, uh, afford it, yes? There are as many questions as answers on this one.
The one constant is that Braylon'sTwitter account is a never-ending supply of controversial stupidity that requires regular apologies/correction/withdrawal/denial.
The Rubicon that Braylon crossed, with people who previously sort of adored him (including, I'd say, Brian Cook of MGoBlog), was his incredible disloyalty and undermining with regard to Rich Rodriguez. It is one thing to do stupid stuff (bar fights, flipping your car, speeding tickets, DUI, paternity lawsuits) that is weighed against great talent and performance on the field and doing truly great stuff like major charitable donations and educational work. But Braylon just lost a lot of Michigan fans, perhaps forever, during the Rodriguez tenure.
Ahh another in the long line of all time Michigan greats whose futility against OSU is matched by so very few. Now he isn't in the rare air of Chad or Mike or Jake, as his lone win against OSU disqualifies him there but his futile 1-3 record, including a totally droptastic performance in 2004 will always have him in the "BrewstersMillions favorite Michigan Team" picture.

Hahahahaha. Seems like things are not all fine in Ann Arbor >:D

Who would want to go to Michiscum anyway?
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Maybe his brother couldn't play three different positions on offense, which seems to be the new standard at Michigan.
To err is human. Really sucking requires having yellow stripes on your helmet.
Those three positions being tackle, guard, and center.
Kid's probably better off anyway...

Nothing better than a former scummer hating his old school. PRICELESS#!
I used to think Braylon was a total douchemcmuffin..but I realized..he's not a total douchemcmuffin.
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
He is. Did you watch him play for Cleveland? It's like he wasn't even trying!

Very awesome indeed. Wait, wasn't Jabba the Hoke on Lloyd's staff?

Anyone else find it funny he spelled "maize" as "maze", as in a puzzle through which one must find their way?
Also, does Coach Kill and Minnesota actually know how to "tear new a$$holes". From watching Minnesota play the last 2 years, I'd say NO.
Could be autocorrect....
Probably was, but I still found it funny.
I think somebody grabbed Braylon's cellphone and hacked his Twitter account. Again.

I mean, you would think with his scholarship endowment and the success both he and his father had at the school, they would take his brother anyway.

Right. Twitter account was hacked. Right.
