Pretty good piece. Kudos to Dodd for giving Meyer & OSU some love despite his use of the tired and played out term 'Ineligibowl' for the Penn State/OSU game.
I was running errands the other night and heard Charlie Strong's show on the radio. That guy is the real deal. He was talking about walk-ons and how much he respects them and how it would be impossible for the team to be successful without Walk-ons. I'm not sure how each school does it, but he lets the Walk-ons dress for home games if they want to, and they even take some on road games with them.
He was also talking about Teddy Bridgewater. They said there is no receiver Bridgewater locks in on, he just reacts based on the reads and delivers the ball. I hope that Braxton gets to that point. If you can add that passing ability with his running ability he could end up being an all time great college football player.
It's hard not to have a man crush on Urban. I think we'll all look back on this year and realize that He's done an awesome job with this team this year. Last year was an all time low for me as a die hard Buckeye fan. I've seen so many things to be excited about this year. Urban gets it. He understands what Ohio State football encompasses. I think I've been waiting all year to be disappointed, and I'm glad this team refused to quit against Purdue after I'd already given up. That was coaching and players that believed in it. Yes, I have drank the kool-aid, and I've found the taste quite refreshing.
