I saw on Twitter that Wynn opened with Ohio State -3 and this page supports that, listing an open at -3, so I have to think that at least one book, Ohio State opened like that:
I think Ohio State is going to go into every game thinking they should win and that they will win. Doesn't matter if they're the underdog or heavy favorites. If you play at Ohio State you better love the pressure cause that's what happens when us, as fans expect greatness every year.
The line has already jumped back to -1/pick 'em, with Braxton now (unofficially) listed as questionable, not doubtful.
Btw, usually a sizable short-term move in the line reflects a few very large bets (from large players or syndicates) as opposed to a whole lot of smaller bets tending to fall on one side. There are exceptions, of course, especiallly with the popular teams.
In other words, there were probably some sizable bets last night and today on both sides of the ledger and now the line is settling back to about where it should be - basically, a pick 'em. If the news and/or rumor mill indicate that Braxton is close to 100 percent, the Buckeyes will be favored by Friday; if he is expected to be out or limited, PSU will probably be -3 by then.

Is their QB still Matt McGloin?
Yeah, sounds like easy money.
opening line was never osu -3... would be insane to see a 5.5 point swing for one player, even if it's braxton.
the page you linked to has the opening line as pick em.. i know 5 dimes had psu -1 as their opener, now at psu -2.5 like everywhere else.

Good - much better going in as underdog rather than a favorite - less pressure.

So much money was going on PsU plus the points at home, Vegas had to do a CYA.
