I've written Plaschke several emails over the years, he's a total asshole.
Recall him saying in 2005, that Fresno St, who gave Southern Cal a good game, was better than Ohio State. It was on "Around the Horn", Fresno State is better than anybody Texas has played. That included the 11-2 OSU team that dismantled Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.
Ever since that moment, anything Plaschke will ever say, will be totally disregarded by me.
Also, Kiffin isn't taking heat, until SC Homer Cowherd starts laying into him...ha.

AM Radio was pretty hot this morning on Kiffen out here. It was very enjoyable. They think his teams play without discipline and are too cocky for their record. I think the boosters need to buy some bigger houses...

Very little toughness in SC from what I can see, whether it be defensive, mental, or intestinal. I would not count them out against Oregon, though. Won last year in Eugene and seem very comfortable (if not consistently successful) in the shootouts that the Ducks specialize in and that usually gas most teams. Will be interesting to see if Oregon's latest "improved" defense really is that tough on the road. A little too early to say "must-win" for Kiffin. Or is it?
Tough to say. But with the recruiting class they're pulling in for 2013, assuming there's no violations, I'd say he gets a pass for now. The other edge of that sword, though, is with all that talent coming in, national elite status and conference championships will be a must.
Is SC really wasting so much talent? Or were they overhyped from the start?
I think a little of both. Marquise Lee is the real deal, but outside of him there are no consistent bright spots. I haven't been impressed at all by Matt Barkley either. I simply don't think he's that good, certainly not good enough to waste a 1st round pick.
