Yeah Ill_Buck we wern't just there in the rankings, we earned that spot last night ...they sent a huge messege to the rest of the nation with that win.
LSU shouldn't have been ranked that high to begin with. So I don't think the Florida win was that big of a deal and they shouldn't be ahead of West Virginia. South Carolina certainly looks legit. I think the #8 spot is fitting, but I wish we could have jumped Notre Dame.

Can anyone explain to me how LSU is still in the top 10. They barely beat Auburn and lost to Florida. They shouldn't have been in the top 3 to begin with and then the loss should drop them at least to 11-13.
Yes, completely agree. Voters were clearly all ready to slam FSU for losing on the final play of a conference road game at night by 1 point, but LSU can't cross midfield twice and they stay in the top 10.
That's what I want to know. LSU has not impressed anyone, lost their only 'test' of the season so far... why are they ranked so high still? Because their defense has NFL talent...? That's the only reason I can think of.
If you can wait until I see my co-workers tomorrow, I'll explain it. Nobody defends the Tiggers like they do. Plus you have to add in the overall awesomeness of the SEC. A loss in the SEC is still a win in any other conference.

I'm with you Cajunbuck; my brother and sister in law (she works at LSU) live down there and he called my at halftime of the Buckeye game whinning and saying the Tigers only lost because alot of their guys got injured. Hello; injuries are part of the game.
Maybe a little. I really don't get Florida's big jump. However, if OSU keeps dropping 49-63 points a game, no one will be able to keep them out of the Top 5.
Not really. I like what I've seen, but I still don't have a ton of confidence in this team on a big stage. They're ranked higher/have been ranked higher than some teams I don't think they could beat: USC, LSU, etc.

We'll take it!

Anyone else think Florida's jump from 10 to 4 is a bit much?
Yes, but not surprised, they have to make sure they can have another SEC vs SEC in the championship game again.

They are already talking about it on some of the post game shows...rediculous. Looks to me like people would just like to slide UF into LSUs spot.

no, they have a better resume so far, than any undefeated team in the country.
By far, A&M, UT, and LSU wins are more impressive than anyone else's by leaps and bounds.
Yes, Florida will lose a few before the season ends.

Stupid SEC bias in voting.

Oh Northwestern. Ranked for one whole week.

OSU would be higher than #8 in my own blogpoll ballot.
Anybody think that OSU is being held back in current polling beacuse of the postseason ban? I do.
