Hopefully we crush Duke again, that's what I'm looking forward to most this season.

Oh man, that would be awesome.

ONLY good thing about this is the Ohio State Buckeye basketball brand is becoming much more powerful nationally.  More popular = more prime time tip-offs.
Of course, that hurts everyone in the actual local viewing area who has to be up early the next day...

9pm or later starts, all on the road, and @ Purdue is the easiest. 2-2 wouldn't be terrible.

Me too.   I said this on another thread about a week ago, that I dont really think we'll see too much drop off from last year to this year.  It sounds crazy but I think it's true.

I know there's a game Saturday, and my ass will be there.

I will probably catch a lot of flak for this... but I think they'll be better OVERALL than last year.
I know Sully was a national talent, but I honestly think he brought the team down last year with his whiny attitude and frankly, lack of athleticism. He got beat on defense time and time again and seemed lazy on the defensive boards. I know he bailed them out at the end of games sometimes offensively, but if you're truly a dominate player, you don't take plays off.
This team this year, depending on Amir (or 5 spot), will be able to run teams out of the gym if Thad chooses to play that way. Craft, Lenzelle, Deshaun, and Ross + whoever is a ridiculously fast and athletic group who can go up and down against anyone. I kinda wish they did this at some points last year when Sully was off the floor but they never really did.

Don't give up... Don't ever give up.

I'm not necessarily going to give you flak for your opinion, because it is just that, your opinion.  I've heard the same from many, many others.
I just think that as a fanbase in general, Ohio State fans did not/do not realize just how good Jared Sullinger really was as a Buckeye.  Guys that put up 18/10 back-to-back years as a freshman and sophomore, in the best conference in the country, do not grow on trees.  In fact, they really don't tend to grow anywhere.
The immediate production Sully brought to this program is basically unprecedented.  From the moment he stepped on campus, he was The Man on this team, and he opened up SO many things for the offense.  Absolutely nothing can replace what he did in creating scoring chances and offensive efficiency.  And no defensive deficiency comes close to taking away what he brought offensively.
OSU is not the #1 overall team in 2010/11 or a Final Four team in 2011/12 without Sullinger.
Now, can they make it back to that level again this year?  I think so, but it's not because of the absence of Sullinger.  It will be because guys expand their games and take them to a completely different level.  But add Sullinger to this year's team, and you have a heavy, heavy favorite to win the National Championship.

Damn I wish Kansas was a night game like Duke was last year. Not sure the Schott has ever been that loud

Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite

Being on the west coast, I'm okay with the late starts

My God. Being drunk all day and trying to stay up for a 9pm game do not go well together.

I do think this year's team can be better then last years team..
PG-Craft... SG- Smith...SF- Ross...PF-Thomas...C-Williams and run the floor and hopefully actually sub in players this year to keep them fresh so the tourney they are not looking so sluggish

I'll be really disappointed if we are any worse than 12-1 entering Big Ten season. That non-conference slate is cupcake city aside from the always difficult Duke road game

Kansas and Marquette won't be easy and Long Beach State always seems to give some better teams trouble
