As news trickles in, sounds like Hayes could be quitting football altogether. Earlier, Tim May talked about his recurring headaches in spring ball and Castel cites a source saying Hayes could be hanging up his cleats.
Very disappointing - he got some massive legs and could have developed into aDoug Worthington type player. A lot of potential. I was hoping for big things from Kenny Hayes. I think he was the first commit from the 2011 class. He did sit out the offseason due to medical issues (migraines I think).
I hope Kenny goes whenever he sees the best fit for him and wish him luck. Always seemed like a great kid from the little I knew about him.
Really sorry to hear this. My boy had some classes with Kenny the year before last when Kenny was a senior and my boy was a junior. He said that Kenny was so jacked to go to Ohio State that he had O-S-U carved on the side of his head.
Bummer.

Ohio State has also confirmed there will be no restrictions on where Hayes can transfer.
I'd feel a lot better about this if there was a little "except Michigan" clause on that.
It's a Big Ten rule that he can't transfer to a conference school and play on a scholarship.
The North remembers.
"The Big Ten modified its transfer rules last year to allow players who transferred to another conference team to receive grant-in-aid."

Huh. That's stupid.

If he was hanging up his cleats, couldn't he be placed on medical hardship and remain on scholarship without counting against the total #?
That was my thought, so it's odd that he seems to immediately seek transfer.

Looks like a health issue (recurring headaches) that will probably end his football career. Damn shame!!
Bummer. Best of luck to Kenny.

Carved? That would explain the headaches.

LOL. I meant his hair, silly.

Migraines are no joke. I wish him the best.

Wish you all the best, Kenny.
