this was an "i'm comin' for you, lennox" reference. thank you. mike tyson should be the fourth- most quoted person in history after only twain, lincoln, and einstein. just a beautiful human being.
but as for the subject at hand, we're naive if we think this only goes on at the university of miami penitentiary. as a john grisham character put it in runaway jury, "trials are too important to be decided by juries."
college football is too big of a business to be left to amateurs.
on the heels of Dennis Erickson's indiscretions, Butch Davis's track record, hiring Randy Shannon and how he is accused of running the show (consider he has been a program mainstay since the "thuggery" began in the 80's) to now Al Golden, who was a celebrated disciple of Joe Pooterno (knowing now how the PROGRAM is > rules and decency).
Seems to me that past NCAA sanctions and Bowl Bans have not gotten Da U's attention or helped foster an environment of compliance. IMO, Da U is a prime candidate for serious NCAA penalties. In 2011 the U lightly suspended players in lieu of recent allegations and only self imposed a Bowl Ban after their 4th loss of the season, when they were looking at a low tier bowl.
Slimy is a word that comes to mind, and Al Golden also reeks this trait.
Oh it is so delightful to know what we are looking at sanction wise, and to be done with it soon, one short season. And to have acquired UFM as well, fucking hilarious. We will be be better than had Tressel not resigned. AHAHAHAHAH
Meanwhile Miami is just waiting for the hurt, and given what they did to the Bucks, it would only be fair for the NCAA to abolish football at Miami (FL) once and for all. AHAHAHHAHA
Golden started this crap 3? days after becoming coach?
Wow! Way to go Canes!!!!!!!
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
I think it will be very interesting to see what the NCAA does with Miami, given the timing of the PSU scandal. Miami is repeat-repeat-repeat-repeat offenders...seems that would warrant the death penalty. But, if they don't give PSU the death penalty, (for something that is probably the worst scandal in sports all-time), then it looks uneven if they do give Miami the death penalty. I think Miami will get heavy sanctions, (3-yr. bowl ban) & PSU will get heavier sanctions (5-yr. bowl ban). That does not go far enough, IMO. For one thing - I think PSU will have a hell of a time even qualifying to be bowl eligible the next 5 seasons. Shut her down for a few years, Emmert.

What? No smartass tweet from Mark May about Miami not knowing how to play by the rules?

Much of the same.
I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.
^ for Miami fans:
The good news - the NCAA visited this month.
The bad news - Charles Robinson also checked in.
NCAA is busy with PSU, but I am surprised that they havent just crushed Miami with sanctions
