Before I go home and pull the covers up over my head while it is still light out, I just want to thank Mark Emmert, the NCAA Committee on Infractions and the Penn State University Board of Trustees for keeping Michigan football off today's front pages.
No, but they are members of the respective teams. It reflects badly on the teams and coaches when members get into trouble like that. But how do you, as a head coach, control every waking minute of a player's day? You can't.
Hoke and his coaching staff can only do so much. They aren't at the parties or in the dorms with these guys to hold their hands. The problem is senior leadership. We lost Mike Martin, Ryan Van Bergen, David Molk, Kevin Koger, among other natural leaders, and tried to force Denard, Will Campbell, Kovacs (who I do think is a leader) into that role.
There were several articles that said these guys assumed their roles and stepped up, yet Will Campbell had a run in with alchohol and the police and there have been 5 other legal incidents in the offseason.

FWIW, it was reported earlier on ESPN that both Clark & Fitzgerald were suspended from the team immediately following the news break of their illegal activities. Kudos to Hoke and that administration for acting promptly.
Not as bad as what former Michigan football player Larry Harrison was arrested for... http://www.michigandaily.com/content/harrison-guilty-indecent-exposure
Not relevant at all but nonetheless embarrassing to the program.
One of the rare days where stories of Meatchicken players that have run afoul of the law get lost in the shuffle. BTW, I told my one friend who's a fan of that school about these arrests, and he was like "who the hell is Frank Clark?" lol.

Man, today's been a BAD Monday for Penn State and Michigan. And the day isn't over yet.

Buckeye born and bred. Buckeye til I'm dead.
To be fair to both Hoke and Meyer regarding arrests, none of these guys are their recruits.
