I think the writing is on the wall when you can't beat out Charlie Batch and Byron Leftwich for a 3rd string QB spot.

This is a real bummer to hear. I always felt like he could be a solid QB in the NFL. It is pretty bad if he couldn't beat out Charlie Batch for a job...

I wish they'd have cut Charlie Batch's old ass and traded Denis Dixon and hung onto Troy. But that said, Steelers front office and the Rooney's seem to have had a pretty good handle on things for a few decades or so... (Unlike some who shall go nameless.)
