Good for him. Living in DC, I heard a lot about how he lost his family and was left alone, raising his sister while going to school and playing in Lawrence. This may open that whole can of worms again, but anyone who says the guy should have stayed and finished his degree is absolutely failing to understand the risks involved with playing and how going pro can make a huge positive difference in the lives of the players and those around them. If you could choose between a 95% chance of winning the lottery today, and a 70% chance of winning the lottery in a year, and all it means is that you have to leave college for at least a few years, with the option of coming back if and when you feel like it, which would you choose?
