The Win from UC Writer/Fan Perspective

Love the comments. Complaining about Craft fouling and a huge gap in FT's taken. Really? Remember all those on-purpose fouls over the last 3 minutes? (Cincy Enquirer)

Dear lord can Cincinatti fans get any more pathetic? They keep whining about how they never get to play the Buckeyes. So they got their chance and lost and again they say if it was up to the Buckeyes we would never play again and the butthurt continues. What do we have to gain by scheduling UC in our OOC schedule, a yearly beatdown? Im sorry if we want to face teams that will improve our RPI and not beatdown on overrated UC teams. They have a severe inferiority complex.

"The Buckeyes would rather have Wolverines gouge their eyeballs than play UC."

He believes that. He actually believes that.

The important things for Cincy fans to remember is that their team tried their very best.

To err is human. Really sucking requires having yellow stripes on your helmet.

I generally like Daugherty's stuff, but this must be one of the most ignorant pieces he's ever written.

"The UC Bearcats had no problem showing they could play with Ohio State. They did it for nine minutes to start the second half. It was the other 31 minutes that stumped them."

Stumped them? Really? That vastly understates how much better a basketball team Ohio State is than Cincinnati when they have their foot on the gas. But hey, UC hung in there for 23% of the game...so I guess that's sorta good.

The notion that anyone associated with Ohio State would rather suffer a loss to michigan than play the University of Cincinnati is the dumbest thing an American sportswriter could think, much less put to print.

I don't get what game Daughtery was watching. I'm still a fan of UC when they aren't playing the Buckeyes (my younger brother goes there), but any complaints about fouling and bad calls have to go both ways. Last night reminded me why I HATE basketball refs, especially because I watched the Syracuse/Wisky game first. I will say, at least Cinci doesn't flop to get fouls. To me that is the most irritating thing about Syracuse. Boeheim teaches them how to act like they got fouled.

Yeah, let's look at the fouls: the Bearcats committed 8 fouls in the last 3 minutes of the game, and 2 more at the very end of the first half in an attempt to disrupt the Buckeyes' final possession. And there you have it: the entire reason for the 21-11 difference in fouls.

Nothing I read there  (neither the column nor the comments) made me question my certainty that most Cincinnatians would be pulling for Kentucky in a hypothetical OSU-UK matchup.

The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.

Fixed.
