haha, article is a joke. expected to commit to maryland...but might choose someplace else.... and then uses his twitter as quotes from him..i had to stop reading cause i was laughing to hard
You guys are cracking me up. I'm over the whole diggs thing. I say just bank the schollie for next years class. I have a feeling that we'll really want someone next year that we might not have room for.
I'm with you Orlando. Even if this kid is truly torn between schools, even after he makes his decision, you wonder if he's going to have second thoughts...
I like having kids that WANT and are thrilled to get an offer from Ohio State. No more Prima Donnas.

Nobody really knows anything, but just to toss some fuel on the fire- I live in DC and all the radio stations this morning are about 100% sure he's committing to Maryland. They can't see him changing the press conference to a known UMD student hangout and committing somewhere else.
I'd love to see his skillls at OSU, but if not then so be it. We've got a great team and a good coaching staff and we'll win with what we've got. Wish him well wherever he goes.
One other possibility is that his H.S. coach is a d-bag. Allegedly, the H.S. coach tries to steer his best players to his alma mater, Maryland.
Hypothetically, what if the H.S. coach pressured Diggs to announce at the team's banquet, which the H.S. coach conveniently arranged to happen at a UMD student hangout/sports bar, instead of Diggs announcing on the local t.v. station? If Diggs now kind of does an "in your face" (picking Ohio State, Florida, Auburn), it would be brave (the scene at the bar might get weird/ugly) but not necessarily d-baggish. He'd be teaching/reminding a few folks there: It's my life.
I understand being a recruit is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but I've never cared if kids who've drug their signings out don't end up at Ohio State. If we get him, cool -- he seems like a stud; but if we don't, i won't lose sleep over it.
I'd like to not care what this guy decides, but the fact is, I want tOSU to be the best in all categories, and the area I feel we're weakest at now (given the Urbanator's slam dunk in the other weak areas this year) is in the receiving core. Maybe they were just under-utilized by The Walrus, but I didn't see too much to get excited about in the passing game this year. I hope I'm wrong.
The recieving core will be just fine with or without Diggs. You realize we played with all freshman and sophomores with the soph's basically having no experience and thy had to play with a true freshman QB..that prefers to Run the ball.
His most crucial points in the recruiting process are probably picking between Under Armour or Nike, and which team has the craziest unifrom combinations. Only Maryland with their ridiculous helmets could suit him. Good luck playing for Edsall.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
If I remember correctly, TP put off his signing until after basketball season was over. It was pretty well known he was going to be a Buckeye whenever he decided to sign his LOI.
Diggs, on the other hand, seems much more up in the air with his decision.
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again," said Meyer. "Do it a little harder next time."

Totally agree Orlando. I'm now forever frightened of people that resemble the Pryor recruiting days.
If he says he will be attending "THE University of Ohio State" that will be the end of us.

If he's moved the venue to a pro-Maryland spot he's defineltly going there. If not it's a total douche move.

If nothing else: Marionaire.
This.
I have never lost a moment of sleep worrying about where a recruit goes or even given it much thought. We get who we get and play some football.
A zillion percent correct.
Taquitos.

No worries.

Walrusball would dumb down a receiving corps of Cris Carter, David Boston, Terry Glenn, and Santonio Holmes. LOL
Class of 2010. 5 years, 2 degrees, 1 love - Go Bucks!
No Joey Galloway?
Terelle Pryor thinks Diggs is taking this over the top.

he's goign to announce that he's selected "the university of ohio state".
Banned from ATO since June 3rd 2PMish PST
More talent can't be bad, but I'll be far from disappointed if he goes elsewhere. This class is already a massive success.
