I know. I can't complain about him as a student or the way he has handled himself as a person while at OSU. However, his play in the tournament vs Kentucky and his overall inconsistency at Ohio State has been extremely frustrating for someone with so much talent.
My comment was merely a poke at that and nothing more. I would vote for any Buckeye over Novak no matter how much I disliked them.
I put in my vote. I like Buford, and everybody will like him too when his jumper starts to fall again. He does need to cut down on turnovers, and I think he's aware of that. I remain optimistic, and believe that his best basketball is ahead of him.
In all seriousness though, I think you will be very happy with Shannon Scott....he's probably not as game ready as we all thought he might be, but I think he has the tools to be a very good player...Burke may be better right now, but I think you will be very happy with the returns on Shannon Scott....also to note, Burke would not be playing as much as he is at Michigan thanks to Aaron Craft, so maybe Burke wouldn't be as seasoned for OSU as he is right now for Michigan....I saw both players in HS and Scott was definitely the better prospect...Thad would have liked to take Burke but with Scott (McD's All American so I'm not alone in my thinking) coming and Craft on board for another two years after this, it was tough to justify another point guard in the class when you knew Sullinger and Thomas had limited time left and you needed bigs (Williams and McDonald + Ravenel transfer)
For all the Buford haters just drop it. It's obvious that he's the 2nd or sometimes 3rd option(when Thomas gets his hands on the ball he doesn't give it back) so he's not goign to score 29 points every game they play. The fact is, that when they needed him last night he carried the team. With Craft and Sullinger on th ebench with 4 a piece, and with Purdue only really having to guard 3 players on the floor at once on the offensive end, he got it done.
2ndly, I'd vote for anyone on OSU's squad no matter who they were and what they were up for.

Is it bad I don't want to?
Can I vote for Diebler instead?
Don't give up... Don't ever give up.

William seems to be a fine young man.

If Novak was a Buckeye (HA!), how deep would Matta go on his bench before he saw the floor? 8? 10?

Buford is terrible. He's a sr. and doesn't take care of the ball. Doesn't get open and flat out disappears if his shot isn't falling.
He pretty much carried the team in the 2nd half today. We need to see more of thise Buford then the 3-14 Buford we've seen too much of this season.
Yep I think he read my comment. Hey that was the truth. Great 2nd half. I hope it gets him going.
How do we not take trey Burke? Shannon Scott has got a long way to go.
PJ HILL!

I actually thought Scott played really well last night spelling Craft for important minutes when Craft had foul trouble.

minus some of the lazy passing, yes. but he's young, and he's learning. his future is bright.
