Woah, you cannot spell his name without W-I-N-N-E-R. What does it mean?

ArTbkward's picture
ArTbkward on 5 Jan 2012 - 11:27am #

I think it means his family's last name was originally Winner, but he comes from a long line of misspellers, as Madisyn and Merideth can attest to.

Thought Hinton was the TE coach?

Hinton was RB coach at ND, but he's expected to be TE coach at tOSU.

Yeah, I'm *way* too excited about the death of #walrusball. Fixed.

*impatiently waits for all this to be officially official*

I've read that the coaching staff is also telling O Line recruits to hold off a bit until their O Line coach can evaluate the prospects.  Hopefully, this will be made official very, very soon.

that is just a way for the Bucks to keep guys like Alex Kozan on the back burner in case they  miss on their top dogs...by saying that it gives the recruit a legit excuse as to why they don't have an offer and keeps them waiting to see, buying Urban and staff enough time to see where they are at with Decker, Diamond, and Dodson

bassplayer7770 on 5 Jan 2012 - 12:06pm #

I can understand that.  At the same time, I'm sure Diamond, Dodson, etc. are wanting to get to know the O Line coach a little before making a decision.  :-)

I am optimistic and excited. Am I the first to realize that our assistants have all lost their bowl games? We lost, North Carolina lost, Iowa State lost, and Notre Dame lost. Granted the Florida assistants won their game against us but aside from special teams, we outperformed the Gators. (Opinion) Maybe I am missing a few and these guys are just pieces to a puzzle. Maybe Meyer knows what the picture should look like and can get everything to work?

I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.

I wouldn't put too much weight on bowl game results.  Especially considering human nature and the "lame duck" status of many of them.  I am extremely stoked.

Oops, I was too slow and pretty much duplicated your points (below). Great minds think alike.

Wouldn't put too much stock into the results of a few bowl games, which are notoriously unpredictable, especially when a staff is undergoing transition.

JT crushed Les Miles in the 2004 Alamo Bowl a few weeks before Miles took over at LSU in 2005.

Bob Stoops was hired at Oklahoma in 1999 after his Florida State defense gave up 23 points in the NCG, losing to a mediocre Tennessee offense (Tee Martin was the QB).

Heck, Gene Chizik went 2-10 as the HC the year before Auburn hired him, I think.

These examples are just a few off the top of my head. I'm sure there are many, many other good examples.

Mine too Tony. Originally from Bolivar. Where you from?

Actually I'm not too much younger than Warinner but I don't recall running into any Warinners out of Strasburg.
