PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
I have a hard time being interested in a guy who was ever associated with Mitch Mustain.
"Who cares? Go Bucks." - Aaron Untch
Wasn't it Gus Malzahn's wife that was on some talk show spewing her mouth over some hillbilly shit that had a lot of recruits up in arms? I will try to find the link, but I believe it was on ParadigmShift's (from twitter... the guy who did the interview with Urban's daughter) webtsite.
Yes. She is completely insane. She made fun of the lack of scoring in games, knocked her own kids as well as recruits. Nutjob.
It looks like all the vids have been removed.
Me too, especially after seeing that video of his wife. Ughhhhh! Where do we go from here?
Yeah, that's where it was from but the dude on Youtube removed the video: http://throwtheflagblog.com/page/3/
I can't imagine this is true only because it would involve an insane amount of money (He is currently being paid 1.3 million), he is being interviewed for head coaching jobs, and he doesn't have any ties to Ohio State or Meyer.
It would be really cool though. His offense is just awesome.
This is not going to happen. He makes 1.2 million a year at Auburn, he's already interviewed for the UNC job and is set to interview for the Kansas job. He wants to be a Head Coach. This is a pipe dream at best, although it would be awesome to have him as our OC.
He is the best offensive coordinator in college football.
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
Oh to dream. But doesn't look like it will happen
Well word is that Chad Morris and Greg Studwara have signed extensions to stay with Clemson and LSU respectively.
Paul Petrino would be next on my list, but getting Gus Malzahn would be nice haha.
Really had high hopes for Studrawa..Hoping that word you heard isn't verified
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
Petrino went ot Arkansas. http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/40818/paul-petrino-leaves-illin.... Its a link to espn for those who are touchy about such things.
Damn they are just going one by one each day, well next on my list would be Gregg Brandon
Auburn's offense was almost as bad as OSU's this season FWIW.
They also had even bigger personnel losses then we did and less talent to replace their losses with.
It was still a train-wreck to watch.

The posts about the potential assistant coaches are hilarious. First we are jacked up because Ohio State is going to back up the brinks truck to bring whoever Urban wants in. Then people are worried about bringing in too many big name coaches, there will be TOO MANY COOKS IN THE KITCHEN!!!!!! Now, it's OMG all the great assitants are signing elsewhere what are we going to do?
Everyone take a step back, relax, chill out. There are more than 3 good assitant coaches out there. Let's look at the good news for the huge signings this staff has already made. The have the head of football operations who is a great recruiter. They have the S&G coach who could be the best in the business. LUKE FICKELL is back on staff. This is a terrific start.
Nice level headed thinking BT. You must be an NKU grad ;). It's the nature of the beast to be all worried about the minutia. Urbz will put together a stellar staff and we'll get back to kickin names and takin ass.
"Say my name."
Go Norse! Speaking of which Doc what do you think about NKU in D-1. I heard the OVC said no, which I'm kind of glad they didn't end up there I have a feeling that NKU in D-1 could end up consistently better than the EKU and Moorehead States of the world. I was hearing Horizon League, but apparently they came out and said they weren't looking to add any teams either. I say hell shoot big and try to go to the A-10. They'll be better than Fordham year in and year out lol.
I say good on them. Their BB team has been very good for years. The A-10 would be cool. I would like to see them beat the Muskies. I'm sure they will get picked up somewhere. They would be better than EKU and More-head. They already are better than them academically, why not athletically.
I really think it would be a pretty solid program. A guy like Doehlman may never end up at Xavier if NKU is a D-1 School. We had another really good local player who went on to play at Marshall. They could retain some of those guys, and maybe draw in some other good players from Cincinnati and KY that may end up at MAC schools.
They have an arena that is quite a bit better than some of the arenas I've been too.
Agreed. Rome wasn't built in a day.
At the same time, I'm excited like everyone else to see who joins the staff. I wonder how much will be resolved before bowl games are over though. We'll see. Important thing is we have 3 elite recruiters in house already.
and Vrabel, who has to have some recruiting pull I would think
Vraebel called and talked to F. Epitropolous (WR commit from 2012 class) the other night. Epitropolous said Vraeble is a great guy and hopes he continues to be on staff, which I think he will if Urban is already there and Vraebel is mkaing recruiting calls for what it's worth.
I don't want to start an argument here, but please tell me why Vrabel is such an asset. He hasn't coached before, and his one year we do have to look at is of a Linebacking corp that got worse instead of better, except for "Damn". Being Fick's BFF isn't qualification enough for me.
. . .except for "Damn".
