Wow... Bollman must be getting paid a lot to have assistants that actually feed him.

Hey Jim, I don't know how Kenny G goes about writing one of his songs, but I know 100% that what I'm hearing is complete garbage, much like your overall offensive strategy. No gory details needed.

No, Jim Bollman, you are not polarizing. That would require divided opinion. I think everyone agrees you have no idea what you're doing.

He was asked to assess the job he's done this year.

"Oh, I don't know,"

Says it all.

ARK's second score was a fumble recovery for TD.

I'm at work so all I can do is follow on Gamecast.

Their guy still > Bollman.

Prolly, but Bollman called our bowl game and shredded them in the 1st half, right? I just think maybe too much anger pointed at one guy. I feel bad for him.

Have to disagree, I think that Studrawa has really called a great game.  Just started off slowly.  But they're playing a spread version of Tresselball, except that they've discovered the WR screen and quick slant.  As for Bollman, he's also the one who shut down the offense to let Arkansas back in it.

I had to leave after Ark handed them 21 points to watch our BBall team. I'm sure he's great running a 2 QB system and all.....

" I feel bad for him"

Wow, I can't believe I just read that. Sack up and embrace the future.

I don't feel bad for him at all. Of course we have had a stunning amount of success over the past ten years, and have had some pretty good offenses. Really, though, I think everyone remembers that those offenses were marked by crazy talent with more experience than this year's squad and a lot of seemingly dumb and predictable play calling that just worked because of the amount of experienced talent we had at each position. We also had a head coach with an offensive mind that could override Bollman if needed. All that is gone, and Bollman's skill (or lack thereof) as a playcaller has been exposed.

Does anyone believe that Bollman actually called games in the past? I know what they say but I remember Tressel getting pissed one year on his call in show when someone asked if he would consider hiring a playcaller and giving up his role in playcalling. He essentially said he (Tressel) was the playcaller and he would call the shots.

I also think Hazell had some influence, hence the success we had with wideouts and TEs. I'm not sure all the blame falls on the walrus.

Just reread the title.  I don't see anything incorrect here:

Bollman: Everyone thinks they can call plays

Everyone thinks they can call plays, so you know the defensive coordinator knows what is coming.

You are so right Bollman. Us *regular* fans being able to call D plays to stomp you is no big deal. My 12 year old nephew being able to rattle off 10 plays in a row correctly in your play calling is no big deal. Players at one point after a loss alluding to the fact that it is playcalling is no big deal. Announcers for some of these games basically saying "wth I don't know why he would call this" is no big deal. National panelists making it a point to mock the calls is no big deal. Finally, former players who have been there & done that saying this is ridiculous is no big deal.

Stupid us. Nothing to see here people, move along. I think I've decided that Bollman thinks "Ohio State got rid of my friend ... now you will all suffer."

/vent over.
