BCS's final standings were inaccurate. CollegeBCS.com's Jerry Palm exposes the system for what is: a hodgepodge of piss poor analytics by unaccountable (and often unqualified) tinkerers. (CollegeBCS/CBSSports)
I'd be more surprised if this is the first time it's happened, and not the first time it's been caught.
Everyone talks about "the computers" like they're some kind of independent entity, when apparently they're just a couple guys who make up whatever tweaks they want to their algorithms. It is absolutely incredible how amateur the BCS calculations are for something that controls the allocation of millions and millions of dollars.
What's even more of a joke is that the Mountain West is making a push to become an AQ conference. They are losing BYU, UTAH, and TCU. This will mean Boise is in a conference that will be comparable to the WAC, with a guarrentteed run to the BCS every year. They will be a bigger joke than the Big East.

Obviously, a plus for proponents of a playoff. I won't be surprised if these inaccuracies in BCS polling, continue.

I think that's kind of the plan.
