i actually kind of hate stuff like this, if only because it feels less like middle school kids tricking other middle school kids and more like 45 year old coaches tricking middle school kids.

Count me in the "Hate" camp on this. Really, really lame. I feel bad for the poor kids who play as hard as they can by the letter AND spirit of the rules only to be handed a loss by an inferior team with a jerk of a head coach.

First rule: play til the whistle blows.  That QB would have been knocked out had he tried that against our junior high LB...

 

The opposing coach was also fooled or he would have been yelling "blast him".
