Really no surprise but our favorite linebacker is an even better man & father than he was a football player...and that's saying something. (Canton Rep)

I was very lucky to meet Chris and Stefanie on the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer. It was so obvious how much they loved each other. I remember him saying that she was tougher off the field than he was on. NOW that is saying something.

I know it's been said before here at 11W; I've said it... Spielman is absolutely beloved in Michigan. His tenure with the Lions (as I understand it, they are an NFL franchise in Detroit) let people here get to know him. And obviously, to know him is to respect him and to love everything he stands for.

Well, almost everything.

Well put. Such a great and admirable man. Beloved, as you put it, is probably the best word.

His story will always be close to my heart. I feel like I have a loose connection with Chris and his family because I lost my Mother from cancer around the same time last year. I feel like were are somehow going through this together on the the same timeline even though he hasn't the foggiest idea who I am. Outside of the parenting angle, I could so closely relate to everything he said in the article.

Chris is the greatest OSU linebacker of all time! I wish we had more players with his work ethic and intensity! I heard that his son is quite the linebacker prospect(freshman now I think). How great would it be if Noah Spielman was able to don the Scarlett and Gray someday!
