TV: Saturday, Noon (BTN)

Ohio State leads the series 39-14-2 and is 7-3 in the last ten games at Ross-Ade Stadium.

The Buckeyes last won at Purdue in 2007;  a 23-7 victory over the 23rd ranked Boilermakers.

Since 2004 Ohio State is 1-3 at West Lafayette. The three losses were to unranked Purdue teams.

Ohio State's defense has not allowed an opposing player to rush for 100 yards. Penn State's Belton had 98 yards last week.

Carlos Hyde has rushed for at least 100 yards in a game nine times in his career.

143-38, the margin Ohio State is outscoring teams in the first quarter.

Braxton Miller has gained 300+ yards in back-to-back games. He has gained over 300 yards in 8 games in his career.

With the win over Penn State Urban Meyer became the first head coach to have a 20-game winning streak three times in his career.

Know Thy Opponent:

There isn't much going right for Purdue this season. The Boilermakers' lone win is a six-point squeaker over FCS Indiana State. Purdue is statistically one of the worst offensive teams in the FBS. You could say their offense is offensive.

The Putrid offense is led by freshman quarterback Danny Etling. Etling has thrown for 585 yards, 3 TDs and 4 INTs this year. Junior running back Akeem Hunt (insert joke here) tries to balance the offense. Hunt has rushed for 293 yards (3.7 ypc) but has not scored a rushing touchdown this season.

Purdue's defense is not much better than the offense. Ohio State should have no troubles moving the ball on the ground against the Boilermakers' 92nd ranked rush defense. As the cliche goes, if Ohio State takes care of the ball the Buckeyes should improve upon their average of just over 295 rushing yards per game.

Darrell Hazell and Marcus Freeman will find out what it's like to be on the other sideline. I have a hunch they won't like the feeling.

Will the Buckeyes gain over 400 yards rushing again?
Chances are good if Ohio State can get an early lead.

Since 2003, Meyer is 30-3 in November.

Darrell Hazell

Here is the breakdown of those 600 yards:

Great data, Remy! The OSU stats this season are ridiculous. 13 players with at least one 20+ yards from scrimmage this year! On paper, this week's game should be no contest, and I fully expect that we will blow them out.

Thanks MN Buckeye.

Corey Brown, Ezekiel Elliot, Chris Fields, Kenny Guiton, Jordan Hall, Jeff Heuerman, Carlos Hyde, Cardale Jones, Braxton Miller, Devin Smith, Rod Smith, Evan Spencer and Dontre Wilson.

I hope you can tell the future, because I'd be all too happy if Urban started his Buckeye career at 30-0!

We can't stop here; this is bat country...

Thanks, fixed. Typing too fast.

Akeem Hunt. That's just fun to say.

Since I don't get the BTN (F... Xfinity here in central Maryland), this is an especially helpful Rundown, Remy.

I'm optimistic Hazell has better days ahead, but Saturday is going to be ugly.

We have filled the Braxton Miller position.

Yeah, it's time for Remy's breakdown!  Thanks again Remy you are crushing it with your articles.  I'm hoping the second teamers start the second half.  My household will be happy if they do.
Here's to breaking the all time yards record on offense.
