THE RUNNING START

TV: Saturday, 12:00 on CBS Sports Network.
Ohio State leads the series 4-0 and is a 16.5 point favorite.

September 5, 2009 was the last time Ohio State played Navy. The game was the season opener and was played in Columbus. The Buckeyes won 31-27 in game that was closer than many people thought it would be.

The Buckeyes have outscored the Midshipmen 109-55. However, the last two games were 31-27 (2009) and 31-28 (1981).
 

The Last Time:
Ohio State lost a season opening game. No. 12 Miami, FL defeated the ninth ranked Buckeyes 23-12 in East Rutherford, NJ.

Ohio State lost a season opener to a non-ranked opponent was 1967 when Arizona came to Columbus and defeated the Buckeyes 14-7.
