Since 1936, 347 Buckeyes have been selected in the draft. 70 of the players were first-round draft picks. Information in this article came from The 2013 Ohio State Football Team Guide.

NFL Draft

This article will focus on the 111 Buckeyes who were selected in the NFL Draft between 1970 and 1989 (20 drafts). To put that number in perspective 109 Ohio State players were drafted between 1936 and 1969 (67 drafts). In the 1975 Draft 12 Buckeyes were selected, a school record to that point.

That's some roll call.

Never understood Spielman falling to the second round.

I am not very smart, but I recognize that I am not very smart.

I used to get so angry when the Browns would pass on Buckeyes, Ironically many ended up playing for them later in careers such as Tomczak, Lanese, Cousineau, Spangler and of course Spielman among others.
