Hello everyone, it's Northern Virginia Buckeye (or NoVA Buckeye for short) and I'd like to go into recruiting a bit right now.

2013 DE Jon Allen (Ashburn, VA / Stone Bridge), the #1 Defensive End according to many recruiting website, has announced that he has narrowed his top choices down to five different schools, according to the Washington Post:

Virginia Tech

Penn State (LOL)

Alabama

Florida

and Ohio State, of course.

Here is a link to said article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/recruiting-insider/post/stone-bridge-dl-jonathan-allen-a-two-time-all-met-and-top-recruit-says-final-list-is-now-at-five/2012/05/03/gIQAVeAazT_blog.html

I live in Virginia, of course, and I have seen Allen play at camps and in games. From what I can tell, he is a very explosive player with a great motor. He isn't very big by D-1 D-Line standards, but he plays a big game. I think he would be a big addition to the Buckeyes, although I was not aware that we had scholly's available.

I do not have any available highlights from his junior season, but I do have his sophomore year highlight film, courtesy of Youtube and Virginia Preps

Does anyone have any insight or know how this situation is playing out?

EDIT-- The Washington Post reports that the Buckeyes have not offered Allen and that Stone Bridge High School Head Football Coach Mickey Thompson says Allen has "never shown interest" in Ohio State.

When Lewis Neal decommitted, he referred to his situation as "open ended" on both ends. Maybe, just maybe Meyer decided to go another direction when this Allen kid contacted us. Looks like a rare athlete from what i've seen. I hope we can land him!

Sweet, the game is won up front, as long as the QB ain't got time to take his drop, we make life very, very easy on our LB's and secondary, who are also studs by the way.  This is gonna be the best D-Line rotation quality wise and probably depth wise too in America.  Get ready for a nasty D Buckeyes, can't wait.  Hope we can pick up Gibson and Quick at WR.

agreed, but considering he's shown interest despite not having an offer, it cant be ruled out

The offseason begins when your season ends. Even then there are no days off.

The name of team Stone Bridge is derive from bridge stone which means they are strong team.

They are strong if they work as a team.
