Buckeye Legacy William Houston Enjoys Ohio State-Nebraska Game

2013 H-back/LB William Houston is an under the radar player hailing from Dublin Scioto (OH) High School, just miles from campus. Houston does not yet hold on offer from the Bucks, but does hold a preferred walk-on offer, with the possibility of landing a scholarship offer in the future. I caught up with Houston to get the latest on his visit to Ohio State and much more. Keep reading to find out more about 2013 recruiting target, William Houston.

  • Football season: "It's going well. We're 6-1 so far and we play Darby this Friday which is a big game."
  • Visit: "It was awesome, there were a lot of cool things there. The game was great and it was really cool in the locker room after the game."
  • Potential offer: "I just need to stay patient and keep playing well and keep doing good things every night. They're (OSU coaches) are saying anything is possible. Right now I have a preferred walk-on offer."
  • Future OSU visits: "I'll definitely be going to the Michigan game and maybe others."
  • Other interests: "I'm interested in everyone who's interested in me. I'm mainly talking to Ohio State, Penn State, Louisville, Vanderbilt, and Michigan State."
  • Early Enrollment: "I'm graduating December 21st and will enroll early in college."
  • Timetable: "Probably by the end of the season. Sometime in November probably."
  • Factors: "Probably the coaches, the team chemistry, and how the team works."
  • Contacts at OSU: Coach Hinton and Coach Fickell.
  • Favorite team growing up: "My dad played for Ohio State from 1989 to 1993 so I've been a Buckeye fan my whole life."
  • Goals: "Definitely making the playoffs. Also enjoying the last couple of games with my teammates."

If he has the tenacity of his Dad, this kid is gonna be alright and will be a Buckeye to be proud of if he steps into Urban's World. I got moved up to Varsity my senior year in High School and remember multiple times in practice being steamrolled by his dad LMAO ... but each time he'd come back, make sure the scrawny freshman laid out in the dirt was ok LOL

Dude was a Simon-like gamer, I will say that ...
