This is a collection of thoughts as I transition to a phase in my life that simply won't allow me to spend as much time in a world that I fully embraced for the past 8 years.
I bid you a fond farewell message board world. Well it's not a complete break up, but there is just no way I can spend the amount of time that I used to "wasting time" in places like 11W. Work and personal life have finally pushed the message board world out of my routine, and as silly as it may seem to many I felt the need to write something about it.
I have made several internet buddies along the way, a nice group of whom I have met over the years. In each of those cases I was very glad to have been able to take the "relationship" to the real world. College football junkies are a pretty rad group of folks IMHO. I hope to keep in touch with some of them as the years pass and I hope to meet more in the future.
I truly believe that the message board world has served me well in the modern world. I am much more computer savvy than I was when I started this journey. MUCH more, and that has served me well both personally and professionally. In the world of email and web based communications I feel comfortable, and I can thank the message boards for being a training ground for me to hone my internet skills. For real.
So anyhow, I just felt the need to get that off my chest. I will always come here first when I do find a moment to step into this fun world of information, laughter, wisdom and unabashed frivolity. Peace be with you all.
