I wanna go back, I GET TO GO BACK!

I normally don't like posting personal stuff on here but I think this is a special exception.

For the last 3 months I've been spending a lot of time getting my application ready for business school and I'm proud to say that I have been accepted into the MBA program at Ohio State!

Prospective students are able to check the application site to see when there is a change in their application status. Last night I saw there was finally a change in my status and oh man was I nervous to click on the link to find out. I read the first word (Congratulations!) and needed a few minutes to collect myself before I could keep reading. I really could feel a weight being lifted off my back.

Getting the application together (studying for & taking the GMAT, getting letters of recommendation, writing personal statements etc) is difficult in itself but I think the month I had to spend just waiting for a decision was even worse. I'm pretty sure I checked the site four to five times a day looking for an answer. Tom Petty is right, the waiting is the hardest part.

This is where 11W comes in. I've been a regular visitor here for a while now and the articles, jokes, previews, and gifs have helped to pass the time tremendously. I just wanted to take a minute and say thanks for making waiting a little more enjoyable. You guys have definitely helped make the waiting more bearable.

FYI my situational bourbon while waiting was Eagle Rare (neat) or Buffalo Trace (rocks).

I wish. I'll be going part time so I don't think I'll hit the credit hour requirement.

Congratulations Sir. My brother inlaw graduated from the fisher program back in 04 and it has aided tremendously in the large amount if success he has had since. Stay focused!

THE Ohio State University

Congrats!  Got my MBA from THE Ohio State University about a century ago.  I took a data management class as part of the program early on, was so fascinated with the topic I wanted to transfer out of the MBA program and enroll in Computer Sciences, but my buddies in our study group talked me out of it.  A couple of years later ended up getting another undergrad degree (MIS) and have been a software engineer for about 20 years now.  Funny how things turn out.  But, if you are interested in a management track (which I never really was oddly enough) it is a good degree to complement another degree or industry experience.  I challenge you to make sure you know EXACTLY why you are in the program and what you expect to get out of the experience, it will suck up all of your time and energy for about 2 1/2 years.

Congratulations, man!
I can relate. I was recently admitted as an undergraduate transfer to Ohio State/Fisher for the Spring 2014 semester. Man, I can relate about the wait. Mine came sooner than I thought though, as I was in psychology class here at ASU when I found out through BuckeyeLink. I just about broke down, but was able to hold it together until I got back to my dorm (there was no way in hell I was staying in class). After originally being denied last year, my recent acceptance has been seemingly the end to a tumultuous two and a half year period since my dad died. This has been my goal my entire life and this was his goal for me throughout his tireless work career. Nothing, and I mean nothing, cures better than being a Buckeye.

I-O! Yeah, as soon as I found out I definitely had all the feels. I could barely keep it together in my apartment, can't imagine what it's like finding out in public. Congrats to you too! I'm sure it was awesome to see all your hard work pay off.
