Wanted to re-post as a blog. Here is the scoop on Glenville 2014 OL Marcelys Jones from my forum post the other day:
I spoke to Marcelys Jones about his experience at The Game on Saturday.
He was impressed by the atmosphere and was able to speak to Coach Meyer, Drayton, and Warinner.
Ohio State and Indiana are still his only offers but he is hearing plenty from USC and UCLA.
Aundrey Walker, offensive lineman for USC, is his cousin. Also of note, he is very close to Donovan Munger, as they are related as well.
Jones told me that the staff spoke to him yesterday about the possibility of playing defense, not offense. He is being considered at defensive tackle.
The fact that Jones is now being looked at on the defensive side of the ball is very intriguing. It appears Meyer is going to want the block eater type that Hankins currently is and Jones can be this type of player. It appears Ohio State is in great shape with Jones and we would be very suprised if he ended up anywhere else besides Columbus.

still can't believe this kid is being looked at as a DT when we are lacking depth at OL. Does anyone know if he plays defense at glenville I've only heard what a good Offensive lineman he was?
He plays both ways at Glenville, and I think OSU sees him as a possible Big Hank type player.
I don't think we're as lacking at OL as some think, but 2014 has to have at least 3 or 4 good ones. And we're in on some good ones.
