First off, DNI stands for "Deadly Nuts Index".

This is a ranking that combines quality of opponent and a slight mix of margin of victory.

It works like this:

*This weeks edition is based off coaches poll rankings *Next weeks will go off BCS

Win over top 10 team = 6 points. If you beat that top 10 team by more than 5 you get 6.6 points.

Win over top 25 team = 5 points. If you beat that top 25 team by more than 10 you get 5.5 points.

Win over "receiving votes" team = 4 points. If you beat that "receiving votes" team by more than 15 you get 4.4 points.

Win over a BCS team that is not receiving votes or ranked =3 points. If you win that game by more than 20 you get 3.3 points.

Win over a Non-AQ team that is not receiving votes or ranked = 2 points. If you win that game by more than 25 you get 2.2 points.

Win over an FCS team = 1 point. If you win by more than 30 you get 1.1 points.

Loss vs. 10 team = -1 points. If you lose to that top 10 team by more than 30 you get -1.1 points.

Loss vs. top 25 team = -2 points. If you lose to that top 25 team by more than 25 you get -2.2 points.

Loss vs. "receiving votes" team = -3 points. If you lose to that "receiving votes" team by more than 20 you get -3.3 points.

Loss vs. a BCS team that is not receiving votes or ranked = -4 points. If you lose that game by more than 15 you get -4.4 points.

Loss vs. a Non-AQ team that is not receiving votes or ranked = -5 points. If you lose that game by more than 10 you get -5.5 points.

Loss vs. an FCS team = -6 points. If you lose by more than 5 you get -6.6 points.
