Glen Mason.

The former Buckeye player, and most recently successful Minnesota head coach would be a great hire. I just don't know if he'd want to leave his job at the B1G Network; or, if he did get back in to coaching - he may want a head coaching job. But, this would be a great springboard to a head coaching job in a few years. They could just call him the "Co-Offensive Coord." or "Asst. Head Coach" or something, title-wise. But, he would be great working mainly with the O-Line and running game.

I always liked Mason's Minnesota teams, (even his Kansas teams in the 90s), because they just "got it" in terms of power football, the running game and the offensive line.

His teams produced great RBs at Minnesota, a consistent top tier running attack, and some great offensive lines. In 2003, 2004 and 2005 - Minnesota finished 1st in the Big Ten in rushing offense and 3rd, 4th, and 4th in the country in rushing offense.

I think he was fired on an emotional whim after they blew a lead to Texas Tech in a bowl game a few years back, but Minnesota should've realized they have a ceiling there, and Mason took them about as high as they could go. They should have never fired him.

Mason is a terrible candidate.  Hire someone with experience at a big school like OSU.  Preferably one who has coached in BCS games and top 5 rankings.

Do you think Studrawa may potentially still be an option? I know there were talks about him signing an extension with LSU but I haven't found any articles to confirm that he has indeed signed the extension. Is it possible that maybe he an Urban have a silent agreement that they won't make it official until after the championship game?

I sure hope so.
