Where is Bufford?!?!?!

From the start of the season, William Buford was supposed to be a key player, and starter to the Buckeyes this year. But what happened? He reminded me of a great football player, Cameron Heyward. They both took games off and didn't try at all. It was a disappointment of a senior season for him. He has a great point guard in Craft, great post with Sully, great well, everything with Thomas. So why does he not feel the need to take the role over as one of the only seniors on the team. This was his year to shine and he failed to accomplish that. I love him and loved watching him play, but disappointment set in after a while.

I don't remember Cam Heyward taking games off.  Could just be me, though...

I don't remember Buford taking games off either. He puts in 100 percent each game. Maybe we should lay off this student athlete. WB is a true Buckeye in every sense of the word.

…. And I’m sure everyone on this blog is giving it "their all" today at work, too. (yawn)

Go Bucks.

I would say that WB isn't giving it all he has but more that he is just not playing very well at a time when we must have him play better.  33% from the feild during the NCAA tournament isn't the WB I've seen for 4 years. I think it is fair to be critical of a OSU student athlete but I don't think name calling or crude comments are deserved. I think we can beat Syracuse and UNC and play for the title but it won't happen if WB plays like he has in the tournament. Most of the team is firing on all cylinders and if WB can get his head out of his arse we have a real chance to win it all this year. Come on Willie!!!

He just peaked as a sophomore.  He was never meant to be a 20ppg stone cold killer like Salim Stoudamire, Ray Allen, or Reddick.  He's just a sidekick and there's nothing wrong with that.  He's a very solid player not mentally built to be a killer.

Really? Heyward?  If he didn't try at all, and took games off he wouldn't of been drafted by a proud defensive team like the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.

I don't think he takes games off, I just don't think he has the killer instinct. Against Cuse it looked like he didn't want the ball in his hands, quickly passing it away every time he got it. Here's to hoping he steps up in New Orleans.

I think you are confusing Heyward with Gholston.
