According to a story on Land grant. Phil Matusz has been hired as a tOSU  Strength and Conditioning Coach (S&C)

http://www.vuhoops.com/2014/1/30/5360780/villanova-football-strength-conditioning-coach-phil-matusz-leaving

ome big news from the Villanova football staff broke yesterday, as wide receiver Kevin Gulyas tweeted that strength & conditioning coach Phil Matusz is leaving the Main Line and heading to the FBS ranks, where he will accept a job with the Ohio St. Buckeyes football program. No official word yet on what position Matusz has accepted in Columbus.

Matusz graduated Villanova in 2010, jumpstarting his career as an intern in the Villanova S&C office. After a one season hiatus from the Main Line at North Carolina A&T, Matusz became the Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning coach in 2011. When head S&C coach Justus Galac accepted a job with the New York Jets organization in 2012, Matusz took over the head job.

Andy Talley is losing a good one in Matusz, who was a three-year starter for the football program, as well as a team captain for the 2009 National Championship team.

Best of luck to Phil as he heads to Columbus.

This is the first I have heard of this, does anyone know more about this and about this particular coach?

Is this a new position, was there a recent vacancy?

Correction on my part here.  This is from a story on SB Nation, which i got from a link on Land Grant.
Sorry about that. I did post the link to the story in the original post. I just want to make sure the correct people get credit for the story.

We have a S&C coach in Marotti. Is he an assistant?

As you can see from the story, the position he is going to is not given. I posted this because I had not heard about a new coach, and I too am interested as to what position he is coming to. I see now over in the 11W Buckshots section there is a story on this topic.
that story states he is replacing an associate S&C coach Rick court, so that answers my questions somewhat.
I would be interested in knowing more about him as a coach.

I would assume more an assistant and/or a specialist in a certain area of the training will be handled by him.  Alabama employs like 20 S&C coaches.

Go Bucks and michigan STILL SUCKS!

But does he have final say on workout maneuvers?

Rick Court left OSU for Mississippi State to take their S&C job. He had been at OSU for a while and did have the title of Associate S&C Coach for the past few seasons. Matusz is taking his place. Sounds like a young and firey guy.

Thanks for that information. I posted this early this morning, and then a shortly thereafter I saw it had come up under the BUCKSHOTS banner of stuff.
So I apologize if the topic seems redundant, it wasn't at the time of posting.
Thank all of you for responding and the information you have posted.
