Zach Boren is the newest San Diego Charger.

Former Ohio State fullback/linebacker Zach Boren was known as being on of the great leaders on Ohio State's undefeated 2012 team. His team-first attitude and constant production led to an undrafted free agent contract with the Houston Texans.

But during the pre-season schedule in August, Boren was released. He was added to the practice squad and waived again in September.

Boren will begin anew in 2014 with San Diego. The Chargers signed him on Tuesday to a reserve-future contract.

literally watched this gif about 25 times just now. Beautiful.

One of my favorite 'the game' moments EVER! Wish the .gif included him standing over Gardner too, that was the best part. Good for Boren glad to see he found a team.

exactly. That moment where he stands over Gardner is my desktop photo. Kind of want to make it into a FatHead...

We were just talking aboutthe differences in running games recently as opposed to years ago with the power i. A few guys at work were saying how we'll never see a fullback with UFM. I brought them back to reality with a quick mention of Zach Boren. Instantly both said, "Oh yeah. Where is he in the NFL?" Glad I can tell them where now.

I'd love to have another Zach Boren in scarlet and gray.

One of those guys you just have to want to succeed.

Love it what position they planning on working him at?

In a different NFL era, he would be an extremely valuable part of a team. I still think he can be with all the intangibles he brings. I'm hoping he makes the most of this opportunity. The Chargers are fortunate to have him. Congrats and good luck Zach! Represent the Bucks well, you've already made us proud.

What is this? A center for ants?!? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read if they can't even fit inside the building?

I'm very happy for Zach. Loved his career at Ohio State and wish him the best in the future. He's also pretty good about responding to questions on Twitter and likes interacting with fans. I personally NEVER tweet potential recruits, have tweeted a few current players after an injury or to apologize for insulting fans (Corey Brown) only, but former players in my mind is totally ok. No potential NCAA issues there.

not to mention at that point they are adults and most of them are productive members of society.

If you look up the word football player in the dictionary there is a picture of Zach Boren. They could've put him in at long snapper and he'd have given his heart and soul to helping the team. True Buckeye.
