If we count Maryland and Rutgers, then the Big Ten sent 9

The offseason begins when your season ends. Even then there are no days off.

FitzBuck's picture

Rutgers is going to get curb stomped by ND.  Let's not claim them till next year.

Buckeyevstheworld's picture

Not necessarily. Notre Dame couldn't even curb stomp Purdue.

Hate to be "that guy", but neither could Michigan State

Buckeyevstheworld's picture

MSU didn't give up 24pts to them either.

But Rutgers beat Arkansas, an SEC team, they should have no problem with ND.

You can't spell chump without UM's picture

LSU vs Iowa, anyone remember the last time they played?

I had the B1G going 5-2... Seems optimistic, but perhaps.
I had the $EC going 8-2... Seems, no way.
Wow, the whole $EC West is bowl eligible, except for Arkansas... Wow Bert.
I'm probably more than 50% wrong... let's see someone get it 100% right!
Go Bucks!

What is this? A center for ants?!? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read if they can't even fit inside the building?

I'm in as well.

Are you going to start a thread or how do you propose we do this?

larzdapunk's picture

Is the New Mexico Washington (as listed above) or Washington State

btalbert25's picture

I like Iowa's chances more than I like Wisconsin's

Kurt's picture

Wow.  I actually feel opposite, but think both will be tight games.

biggy84's picture

Iowa will forfeit their bowl.....Kirk Ferentz doesn't go to Florida..

GoBucksOSU's picture

Kirk Ferentz has been good at beating SEC teams so I like Iowa's chances as well.

BassDropper's picture

On paper the B1G could win every game. I say B1G goes 6-1. Just don't know who the loss will be

DIRECTIONER

otrain2416's picture

For us to turn some heads we need

  • 2-0 in BCS
  • 2-1 vs SEC
  • 1-1 between Minnesota and TSUN
stittracer99's picture

IMO Nebraska and Iowa have the toughest matchups. I think a 5-2 record is definitely possible

FitzBuck's picture

I wish I could be optimistic as 5-2.  These really are not the greatest match ups for the BIG.  I really like UW over SC but after that I think we have coin flips.  The games against LSU and Georgia look favorable because of their QBs going down with knee injuries.  MSU and Stanford is another toss up as they are very similar teams.  I hate the matchup against Clemson and if the secondary doesn't make gigantic strides we could get beat.  KSU is a very well coached team and could play UM tuff but if they play like they did in the game they should win.
I hope for 5-2 but could see 2-5.

Idaho Helga's picture

What? You doubt this bowl is FAMOUS????

lamplighter's picture

I would like to think that Saban got his choice (and the way I feel now I'm glad it wasn't tOSU)

TilstheHun3's picture

I wonder how Oregon feels about playing in the Valero Alamo Bowl:

What bowl is Bert playing in? Oh... yeah.

What is this? A center for ants?!? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read if they can't even fit inside the building?

otrain2416's picture

Oregon's probably just glad they didn't have to go to another Rose Bowl

Firedup's picture

Unfortunately my stomach will be rooting for LSU as it prefers Blooming Onion over Coconut Shrimp and thats one B1G loss I will be okay with.  I think the lower teams will lose like TTUN and Nebraska but our good teams Wisconsin, MSU and tOSU should win to make the conference image shine

GlueFingers Lavelli's picture

Is it just me or are there some really shitty matchups this year? Usually I am all excited for even the mid level games, I only see a few games I really want to watch on that list. I would have liked to see Baylor v.s. Bama and UCF v.s. Oklahoma instead.

Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.

johnblairgobucks's picture

I'm fine with the Orange Bowl vs Clemson, but I feel the BCS would have presented better matchups if they went like this:
BCS Nat. Champ :Auburn vs Florida State
Rose:  Stanford vs Sparty
Orange: Clemson vs UCF
Sugar: Alabama vs Oregon
Fiesta: Baylor vs Ohio State

biggy734's picture

Duke vs. Texas A&M should be a fun one.

Bucks43201's picture

Just an fyi, 11W: you mistakenly have Colorado State playing Washington in the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 21st, CSU actually plays Washington State

"You win with people." - Woody Hayes

johnblairgobucks's picture

Michigan vs K-State is a 10:15 PM ET kickoff?  wow, that is late.  I guess it is at least a Saturday night, but that one won't be over till  after 1:00am

dwcbuckeye's picture

You got Washington listed twice.  Could the first game be Wash St?

NoVA Buckeye's picture

NM Bowl should be Colorado State-Wazzu, not Washington

The offseason begins when your season ends. Even then there are no days off.

buckeye4life7's picture

Is there a reason why we're the only game whose start time has not been determined yet?

jBarnes's picture

I love the matchup with Clemson (well, all things considered).  We have really been exposed in our secondary the last two weeks and Boyd can air it out.  This will be step one in our process to focus our defense on fixing those flaws in preparation for Urban #3.  Coombs and Withers need to convince Buckeye Nation that they can build a scheme to manage a passing attack.  This is the test we need right now to see if we have earned the right to be a top 10 team.

Can I play?!

armybuckinva's picture

I will root for the BIG teams as well except "m".  I hope Kansas State beats the m*t*erf***king doors off them douche pickles from the state up north.

Bucksfan's picture

I like the B1G teams' chances in virtually every bowl, except maybe Iowa.

GoBucksOSU's picture

If a 3-9 Bert team can play LSU close than so can Iowa.

How does Washington get to play in TWO BOWLS?
And what up with the "Beef 'O Brady Bowl," and how is it that TTUN isn't playing in that one?
