The Dubgate Eats Grass in an Act of Solidarity

Cheer for a Michigan man? College football is a fucked up place some times.

Who's ready to cheer for Michigan Man and noted grass-eater Les Miles and his LSU Tigers tonight? That felt so dirty to type.

At any rate, the Buckeyes still need some help in the BCS Championship race. Stanford delivered Thursday night and if LSU can do the same at Alabama tonight, Ohio State should be in the top two of Sunday night's BCS standings. If Wake Forest can somehow manage to topple Florida State this weekend, then dumpster fires from the state of Ohio will be visible from space.

Alabama enters tonight's game (8 p.m./CBS) as 12.5-point favorites, so it may be asking a lot out of the Tigers, but the road team has done extremely well in this series.

How well?

So, umm, go Tigers! And Demon Deacons, if you're listening.

ROUNDBALL FOR REAL

Thad Matta begins his 10th season at the helm of Ohio State when his Buckeyes welcome Morgan State to the Schott for a little afternoon delight today.

The game tips off at noon, but it won't be televised. If you'd like to shell out $14.95 for a monthly subscription – or $119.95 for a yearly subscription – you can stream it live on the BTN Digital Network.

We'll have a preview up soon and a recap following the game, so feel free to save your hard-earned money. The Buckeyes are 16-0 in games against the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, so you can imagine how this one will play out.

ALL THEY DO IS WIN

Friday was a big night for Ohio State athletics with the men's hockey team topping the Niagara Purps 4-1 and the Lady Buckeyes earning a tough 70-61 road win at West Virginia.

The Fritz-McCormick-Szczechura line exploded for 10 points to hand the Buckeyes their fifth win in their last six games. They'll conclude the series tonight.

On the hardwood, sophomore Ameryst Alston led Ohio State with a career-high 29 points in new head coach Kevin McGuff's first game. The Buckeyes, unranked in the preseason AP Poll, may see some movement when the next poll is released. West Virginia was at the top of the "others receiving votes" pack.

TODAY'S EARLY GAMES

Your early games for today are actually decent for once. Auburn at Tennessee will be an interesting one to keep an eye on, as will Florida State at Wake. Well, for about a half a quarter at least.

Minnesota enters today's game with Penn State as a favorite. Let that sink in for a minute. The Gophers will be attempting to win their 4th-straight Big Ten game for the first time since 1973.

See this week's TV Guide for a full rundown on today's games, and remember, the basketball Buckeyes tipoff at noon, too.
