Its not surprising.  The teams ahead of us won in convincing fashion too.
I'm surprised to see Oregon and Florida State flip-flop though.

Did they flip-flop or are you thinking of the BCS poll?

Did the Gators make a big jump???

And the sanctions against Miami have robbed three wins in the AP poll.

@DJ, I thought it was from the ESPiN website, was ripping on ESPiN not you in any way.

That probably came off way more dickish than I intended it to be. I took no offense Defend. It did come from ESPN's website, but I have to copy it over and I use a past template for the table HTML. In my haste to post, made two errors.

No offense taken. Namaste.

We doubt it!!!!

Should that be Fl St at #3 in coaches and not Fl?

Not to mention Miami 4-0 in the AP.

These polls are such garbage anymore. How does Auburn move up so much when they beat a team that was 2-5 from C-USA? Miami looked awful the past 2 weeks just we are supposed to believe they are the #7 team in the country? Clemson looked like the real Clemson and holds steady. LSU spent the first half struggling against Folsom (or however it's spelled. Never even heard of them before) but they move up 2 spots. South Carolina moves up 6 spots because Mizzou's kicker is awful. Speaking of Mizzou, they lose but stay in the top 10,  5 spots ahead of the team they just lost to. And I patently disagree with Arizona State being ranked. That 5-2 record is completely tainted and everyone knows it but let's rank them 25 ahead of the likes of oh idk, Minnesota? Minnesota is 5-2, defeated the #24 team and at least all their wins were legit and not aided by bad bad bad officiating.

Missouri loses at home and is still in the Top 10.  Amazing

Clemson lost at home by 34..... and they are back too.

Buckeyevstheworld's picture

It helps that everyone in front of them keeps losing.

as bad as it was, at least it was to a higher ranked top 3 team in FSU, unlike mizzou getting upset.

You don't know? SEC losses count as wins in the eyes of the voters.

The offseason begins when your season ends. Even then there are no days off.

Miami is total smoke and mirrors...they will get sent packing next week.

OSU actually lost 7 points in the coaches poll.

Buckeyevstheworld's picture

O'Brien is still upset.

GoBucksOSU's picture

O'Brien does not vote in the coaches poll so this leaves me head scratching as to what coaches would drop OSU?

meh, we're undefeated, screw the polls.

UncleBuck's picture

MSU should be higher. I would take them over a lot of those other 1 loss teams.

AndyVance's picture

Agreed - at the very least, there's no way they should be behind TTUN.

Ahh Saturday's picture

Might be the ND effect. Michigan handled them pretty easily whereas MSU lost.

My Thinking.
(If) Teams win out.
Alabama v Florida State - National Title Game
Ohio State v Oregon - Rose Bowl
Winners get share of national championship.

What if the two winning schools (of Bama vs. FSU and tOSU vs Oregon) arranged to play a game a few weeks later at a neutral site (NFL stadium???)?  The NCAA would not approve, but would they be able to stop it?  I think that there would be popular demand for that game and the NCAA is not winning any popularity contests as it is.  Could they actually stop it and would the schools go for it?  The fans would love it.
