Young Braxton Miller on the Springfield Broncos

Meet 10ish-year-old Braxton Miller, quarterback for the Springfield Broncos.

The photo, courtesy of Ohio State target – and fellow former Bronco – Demetrius Knox, was taken an hour before Miller rushed for over 500 yards against 10-year-olds who had never witnessed speed like that before. We presume.

Demetrius Knox and Braxton on the same youth team? I assume this team went 13-0 and smashed all league records.

Californian by birth, Marionaire by the Grace of President Warren G. Harding.

Man this is priceless. As somebody who works with kids in this age range, it always makes me marvel at just how early in life people can begin to develop such adeptness for certain skills and talents. Not just within the lexicon of sports, but in math, writing, music, etc. I'm sure young Braxton had some great role models and coaches in his life growing up, but he is also blessed with such rare God-given talent. Really inspires you to be a better educator when you see childhood dreams come to fruition. That same kid is now out there doing it in front of thousands!

Early 2000s. Good times those were.

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

I believe that is my  high school in the background (Springfield South).
I think the Broncos started after I had moved away. I grew up on the south end and back then we had the Lil Tigers. They were some bad little dudes who used to play at Evan's Stadium. I was actually on a step-team that used to perform at their games when I was 12 years old (1984!!).
Anybody from the Field, especially those that grew up in the south end, can tell you what a special place that high school was for so many of us. When I was little you knew it was Friday because you could hear South's marching band throughout all the neighborhoods. Their drum line was like no other. Everybody went to those games back then. Say what you want about 'the hood' but anyone from there can tell you how special that place was.

Buckeye born and bred. Buckeye til I'm dead.

Is it just me or does has Braxton rocked the same expression in practically every picture?

He's actually showing every emotion at once. He's that damn good.

I coached for the West Carrollton Wee Pirates, against the Springfield Broncos, so I got to watch Braxton run 65 yard TDs, untouched, back to back, against our team, and I have it on video, so I will check through my garage this weekend and see if I can find the video!!!
