David Lighty

David Lighty is still chasing his NBA dreams. A pivotal part of Ohio State's roster for his five years on campus, he went undrafted after graduation and began playing professionally in Europe. Just this June, David Lighty led NSF Nanterre, the eighth seed in the French domestic league, to the French championship. He even earned MVP honors.

Lighty has a reputation for being a very tough defender, as Ohio State fans remember well. Across the pond, he's also developed a reputation as a capable shooter from distance. He will hope to parlay that into a spot on a 12-man NBA roster.

Best wishes to Lighty.  He has paid his dues along the way and it would be great to see him on an NBA roster soon.

In old Ohio there's a team that's known throughout the land...

Definitely hope he can make it! And great to see that he was able to help lead his team to a championship as well. Crossing fingers for sure!

Lighty is one of my favorites of all time. Four year guy (five, actually), great player, always smiling. I can't believe there isn't room on an NBA roster for this guy. If Danny Green and Gary Neal can get five minutes of fame, he can get ten. He can be Bruce Bowen, right?

Good luck to him; Definitely one of my favorite Buckeyes ever...if he sticks, I may finally have a reason to buy a Brooklyn jersey...still gotta buy a Sully Celts one.

How he's not already on someone's roster is a mystery to me.  His defensive tenacity alone should be enough to warrant a roster spot.

Really pulling for David Lighty. I'll say a few prayers for his continued success.

I'm just happy to be here
