Andrew Wiggins, the nation's No. 1 basketball recruit in the class of 2013 and arguably the top high school player since LeBron James, has announced he'll attend the University of Kansas.

Despite its lack of basketball tradition, Florida State was thought to be the front runner because they've recruited Wiggins the longest and the coaching staff developed a strong rapport with the Canadian phenom. Wiggins' parents are also Florida State alums.

Overlooked was the fact that his brother will be a senior at Wichita State next season. Wiggins instantly becomes the top player in Lawrence, and if all goes according to plan, he'll be the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
