Here we are, halfway through the first day of action and 90% – [refreshes standings] make that 95% of the brackets – in the 11W challenge are wounded. Some multiple times. Love you, March.
The Louisville game should be ugly, but the other three matchups could be interesting. And remember, tonight, we are all Jackrabbits.

I hope these are equally as compelling as some of the games earlier today.
Belmont better get this W!
dont look now, but gonzaga looked horrible and one of their "quality" wins just got bumped by a 12 seed

I think they'll handle/escape Wichita State, but I don't have them going past the Sweet Sixteen. I've got Wisconsin "Princeton-ing" them do death.
that's where i have them going out as well

NC A&T will probably get blown out, but they play a fun style. Pressing and trapping all over the court.
Winners
I want to see one of these Pac-12 teams to fall before the night is over.

Let's go South Dakota State!
Tom Crean listens to Nickelback...
+1
Awwww they are not wearing the Zubaz. :(
Louisville is trucking them.
Belmont, Michigan, Louisville and UNLV, let's keep my bracket perfect boys.
Wildcats, Skunk Weasels, Cards, and Runnin Rebs.
Mcgary looks really good so far. I'm glad Beilein let him start.

Hey Zags see what the Cards are doing....THAT IS HOW A 1 SEED should play their first game of the tourney.
TSUN really struggles against quality team defense.
Hey if they lose, they won't have far to go back home! Lol!

It's a win win situation for me. A TSUN win means my bracket survives. A TSUN loss is always a good thing.
Trey Burke isn't gonna let TTUN lose. He has too much Ohio born skills.
Wayne Woodrow Hayes
I'm surprised South Dakota St. has kept it this close with Wolters not doing much. Either he gets hot and TSUN is in trouble, or the bad guys eventually pull away for the 15-20 point win I expected.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
So how many of you fell for the Belmont bait again this year?
only down 3 towards the end of the first half. I wouldn't say thats bad
Well they're missing lay-ups and wide open jumpers. You can hardly say that anyone "fell for them."
I'll own up, I did. Not so much for the hype though, more because I really think this year is very unpredictable and I went with some big upsets. I didn't follow the Davidson one though. I stuck with Marquette.
Although with Belmont shooting poorly, down 12 at the half isn't a horrible deficit. They get their touch back, they could make a run. AZ has fallen apart a few times this year. Could happen in the second half.
This.
This was the first year that I picked Belmont, and I picked them primarily because 1) Arizona sucks and didn't deserve a 6 seed and 2) IF Belmont had actually made their 5 missed lay ups, this would be a two point game, and that doesn't even take into account all of their open jumpers they've missed. This game should be a 25 point blowout with how Belmont is playing, but Arizona simply isn't that good.
Yeah, could still be a game.
Also sorry, didn't mean to sound like a douche. I just think it's funny how Belmont is a sexy upset pick every single year and then doesn't even come close.
I didn't think what you said was douchy! Belmont was a very bandwagon pick, many people went for it. Can't get upset that your upset pick didn't happen.
I did find it funny that the president, not going political, went practically all chalk outside of Wisconsin. Same for the esteemed (sic) Jay Bilas. He talks about this crap for a job and he basically went with very little upsets.
Yeah, and the few upsets that the "experts" do pick are always those hivemind ones: Belmont, token MWC team, picking Wisconsin to lose in the 1st round even though Bo Ryan never loses in the 1st round, etc. None of them ever go out on a limb or have any originality to their brackets.
I picked Zona but Belmont is hanging around.
Trey Burke 0-7. POY!
Bucks will be beating Louville in the Final Four!!
Trey Burke 0-9.
Is Charles Barkley always drunk or is he just challenged?
He's a Grade A idiot, but a nice guy, I have a couple friends that met him in Pinehurst that said he was a pretty down to earth guy. However, like Foghorn Leghorn would say "He's as sharp as a sack of wet mice."
Edit:I'm dumb.
Well there goes my Akron upset pick. Probably wouldn't beat VCU full-strength and with Abreu anyway.
>Mocks people for picking Belmont
>Picks Akron, a team without its PG over VCU
okay.jpg
Yeah I'm a total hypocrite haha. Knew picking Akron was going to be a dumb choice.
Just messing with you. If Akron had Abreu I would've actually made that pick as well.
It's all good. I love me some bracket banter.
Still probably wouldn't have myself but it would be looking better.
Oh shit Burke hit the floor hard! I hope he's okay.
I didn't see his head hit but he appears to be in significant pain...yikes.
Whoever downvoted these posts is an idiot. You may now downvote me also, idiot.
His head hit nothing.
Burke grabs his head when it never made contact with the floor. That initial impact always scares you more than it hurts.
Yeah, my wife and I were debating the same thing.....his wig never even hit the floor. We zoomed in and replayed several times.
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
At first I thought his head hit the floor but on the replay I saw it didn't. He fell on his backside so that helped absorb the impact.
His head or his a$$, what's the difference?
WIBUCKEYE
In terms of anatomy one is superior the other is inferior to the midline! I'm glad he's back!

Glad to hear he's okay, but they just said that he hit his "backside" and his elbow? He was grabbing the back of his head!!!! If I get racked in the junk I don't hold my elbow.

Michigan sure does live and die by the 3. Business as usual.
Not much of an argument, but not nearly as much as the last few years. They actually had several looks inside that they missed...4 or 5 alley oop attempts that weren't converted. Burke couldn't get any thing to drop on drives. Mitch McGary had nice game with 3 or 4 dunks and some nice layups. Stauskas had a nice drive and one.
As Beilein pointed out at half, THjr kept Michigan in the game with his 4 threes in the 1st half.

To be fair so did we when we had "Three-bler".....As much as it pisses me off to go against a team that lives and dies by the tre....I sure didn't mind back then when it was us raining triplets, that's for sure.
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Arizona going for the throat now.
I wish Amir would give half the energy that McGary does
Michigan fans on Twitter are obnoxiously confident right now.
Can't wait for VCU to run circles around them.
Hard not to feel good winning by 15 with Burke only having 6. They looked like they did early in the year where they shared the ball well and played all right defense. If GRIII, McGary and Hardaway all score double digits (or swap Stauskas for one of them), Michigan can make a run. The road isn't easy, but I was pleasantly surprised tonight.

1) Louisville: This is how you play your first game, Gonzaga.
2) Well, scUM winning helps my bracket, but I wanted them to lose
3) This Cal v. UNLV is a horribly sloppy game.
AZ starting to fall apart. Could this be another big comeback today?
HA! Nevermind!
Zona still hitting shots will keep this one out of reach for Belmont.
And they call big ten basketball ugly. I'm looking at you, Cal and UNLV.
I cannot believe how sh***y UNLV is at free throws.... they lost because they could not hit free throws... Absolutely disgusting fundamentals and a pathetic excuse of a tournament team....
you cann see I am upset because I had them winning a few.
Yea I had UNLV making sweet sixteen, also had SDSt beating Mich. the way mich played the last handful of games, don't think they will get to the sweet sixteen.
Pay It Forward!
I had a feeling that their loss to Wisconsin might prove to be an impetus to spur better play, much like Ohio State after Bucky Badger humbled us. I've got them knocking off Kansas in an epic struggle, and then losing to Georgetown.
