The Buckeyes put four in double figures led by 18 from Deshaun Thomas as Ohio State wore out a well-traveled Long Beach State squad, 89-55, this afternoon in a sparsely populated Value City Arena.
Slam Thompson set a career high with 13 points thanks to three spectacular dunks while LaQuinton Ross added 16 points and nine rips.
Lenzelle Smith Jr. shook off a two-game shooting slump, adding 14 points on 5/7 from the field.
The win improves the Buckeyes to 6-1 on the season.
Savannah State visits the Schott next Wednesday at 7:00 pm.

congrats to rogers for his first points of his career. got a warm fuzzy feeling on that nice move he pulled underneath the rim
Fun game to watch, and glad to see the bench developing.
I applaud the excellent choice in title.
This is Ross's team. Love Crafty and Deshaun, but LaQ in a groove gets the whole team into a groove.
Goodness, Matta looks like a slightly older Trey Parker in that photo. Maybe he coaches Baseketball on the side.
I vote for this pic of Matta be attached to every hoops open thread. Please make this happen.
I'm a few days behind.
I loved to see so many players scoring points in this game.
Also, LQRossIsThePresent, that is all.
