This is a disaster for the Big Ten.
I don't think so. The real problem is having Wisconsin show up and try to play like Aaron Rodgers again when the opponent is severly over matched in the trenches. Refering to the embarassing loss to TCU I think it was. TCU was grossly over matched and Wisconsin found a way to lose. The disaster is having the 4th best team in the Confrence (Nebraska) getting to the title game. Nobody has forgotten that Wisconsin lost at home to OSU and then to prove a second time the division is theirs couldn't handle Penn State either. Or did you all forget OSU dropped 63 on Nebraska? So the way I see it, Nebraska is 4th in the Big Ten. Making Michigan no better than 5th or possibly 6th. Do they really beat Wisconsin knowing they are soft in the trenches?

After calming down a bit from last nights "game" I agree with what you're saying. Although I was hoping the team with the better record would win. You're spot on. The one, kind-a-sort-a, positive from this is that Nebraska, the new kid on the block, didn't just walk in here and get a championship. Good call- very understated but as far as hating Wisky, I have to say it's OK for Nebraska to get a good old fashioned butt kickin' from an long time Big Ten school.
That said- knowing how unprepared Brasky was, I'm not so sure IF they would have beaten Wisconsin, Stanford wouldn't have done the same thing- making it a BIGGER stage and even MORE embarrassing nationally.

Anyone know if Wisky is supposed to be any good next year based on players returning. I hate them, but they do seem to be improving. Certainly with the help of horrible Nebraska D.
Offensively they lose RB Montee Ball and OT Ricky Wagner. Defensively, they lose 3 guys from the secondary, and LB Mike Taylor. That's all.
Needless to say, if there's any year that they're going to challenge Ohio State for the division, it's going to be next year. Wisconsin is going to be a very senior-laden team next year, especially on defense. After next year, they lose a heck of a lot of players.
Thanks, I was thinking they would have a solid team. Looks like the Wisky game may remain interesting next year although I think we will be too good for them to handle.
We think alike. Like I said, next year will be the closest they'll be to competing with Meyer and OSU. They return a lot, but we return a heck of a lot of talent too, especially on the offensive side of the ball. If Roby comes back, the secondary should be pretty solid (or at least experienced). MLB is really the big question on defense, obviously.
I think that now that they have a full season under their belts and a bunch of time to practice, OSU's offense is going to absolutely desimate the Big Ten next season.
Gus needs to stick to basketball. He's a great announcer but this isn't his bag.
