Where has the time gone?
It seems like only yesterday that a young freshman from Deerfield Beach, Florida was bursting onto the scene in the Big House.
Today, he'll play his final home game in front of the key-rattlers in an appearance that may be reduced to just one symbolic play.

First time I've seen either of those. Awesome. Thanks for posting.
That gave me goose nipples.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
Interesting that Denard hasn't made a ton of progress, I wonder if he'll be back by our game, I also wonder if they are better with Gardner behind center. Maybe they moved the wrong dude to WR??
I think Gardner starts for The Game.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
I was going to say that, I think they look better w/ Gardner under center...
Maybe in the passing game, but Denard was his own individual brand of dangerous, and that made the team as a whole more dangerous
I just hope he doesn't get hurt, so he can play next week....
(not gonna say anything like 'so OSU can hurt him', because that would be mean spirited... Saying and thinking are two different things...)
Um Forcier started his freshman year didn't he?
"Did you push yourself to be great today? If you didn't do it you lost a day. We ain't got many days to lose. We're going to push your a$$ like its never been pushed because what you've got in you were going to find out" UFM
Little Hands Tater, yes.
Yes although Denard did play on rare occasions and showed why he should have been starting in Rich Rod's offense from the start. For instance this was his first career carry, yeah it's directional tun, but still...

Why is DeNard is always eating imaginary food, well except the Alabama game, and ND game. Didnt notice him eating much those days, but every so often like the Indiana game, there he was yet again eating that imaginary food. Must be tasty!
Pay It Forward!
Maybe that is why his elbow hurts?
I thought that was him just imitating how Hoke eats
Nah, he would have to use both hands then, wouldn't he?
Detard 11-24-12
What the guy above said...
I hope he chokes on it. I hate that.
Corso just called a 5 year old kid "midget" on gameday. my saturday is complete without even watching a snap of football
the kids are playing their tail off, and the coaches are screwing it up! - JLS
That kid was okay until he picked Wisconsin. Jerk.
Oregon fans were all right until they started cheering for wiscy. Go Stanford!
I don't see how linking a sentimental scUM story helps with my blind hatred of TTUN. What's going on here folks? If it was to make fun of the bad grammar in the caption, say so. Otherwise stop toying with my emotions!
Reverse psychology. Look at how fired up you are right now.
11W staff rocks!
I was curious if we would see Denard in at WR/RB given that he doesn't need to grip the ball the same way as a runner.
Denard at rb. Dude we're gonig to kill these guys. Can't wait.
Well considering our inability to tackle in space and the fact that Devin Gardner appears to be a better passer I would say this situation makes them a lot better.
I agree with your point. They have some addtional potential. I just see a team in mi that has no idea who they are and what theyre trying to do. While they may become shiftier, they don't all of sudden become experts. It's a major change for them as a team and for detard as a player. But looks like touissant is done.
toussaint down...Robinson could get 30 touches next wk
the kids are playing their tail off, and the coaches are screwing it up! - JLS
Edit:
RobinsonShazier could get 30touchestackles next wkToussaint is gonna be out for a while that didn't look so good.
Yeah that looked nasty...
Hoke: OK, Denard, for senior day we are going to try and get you killed.
Denard: Sounds good coach. Anyway I can help.
"I'll fire when I'm god damn good and ready! You got that?" - Pete "Maverick" Mitchel
Denard: will soup be made available.
Hoke: doubt it.
Damn. They brought the cart for Toussaint. I thought it looked like his lower left leg snapped but who knows.
Yea that looked real bad. I've seen similar that somehow didn't break...but there's no way he's playing next week.
Yeah, his season is over. The big air cast thingy is never good to see.
Rawls is a pretty solid back, more of a power guy, but that is a tough loss. Although Denard might be a better RB anyways.
Mauti down on the field too, can we have another bye week to avoid today's injury bug??
Tough break (no pun) for Fitz. Hopefully it's not as serious as it appeared.
I am going to disagree with you guys. This offense makes them more dangerous, IMO. I would say they know who they are if they're keeping Gardner in at QB. Anyone who thinks this offense makes them worse is delusional. I hope we take care of Wisky today. But this scares me for next week because, as alluded to earlier, we have trouble tackling in space. Hope I'm wrong.
Agreed- they are much more dangerous with Gardner at QB and Denard in an RB spot. Not only is Denard a more explosive runner than their other backs, and not only is Gardner at least as good if not a better passer than Denard, but it just gives so many different options. Multiple pitches, multiple passers, etc.
I would much rather face TSUN with Denard at QB than the Gardner/Denard backfield they're running some in this game.
I still think we beat them (largely because I just don't think their defense is going to slow us down much), but I'm not happy with their new wrinkle.
Denard just can't play RB effectively and consistently. He gets injured every few hits he takes, and a shitty nerve in his good arm. It's only a matter of time
I agree that having him as an every down back isn't going to work for them, that's where losing Toussaint will hurt. But just having him on the field means you have to account for him, possibly with more than one guy given his speed which opens up other things even if he doesn't touch the ball.
Like I just said, 40 on 3rd and 1
Not worried at all. They'll score some points but we'll score more.
Iowa looks extremely slow.
Having walk-on fullbacks play tailback will do that.
The whole team looks slow, not just the running back. They look like they are walking in mud.
I hope our offense gashes ttun the way Iowa has on this drive. A nice long drive going right now.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that the ref in the Michigan-Iowa game sounds like he got his nuts caught in a car door??
Not a lot of happiness up north today
We are going to shred those blue and yellow skunk bears.
Any update on the status of Toussaint's injury? I missed it, but I am not embarrassed to say that I am watching some Kent/BG MACtion
Tom Crean listens to Nickelback...
Just heard on 610 that he is on his way to the hospital, that's all I know so far.
Nope, but he either broke his leg or dislocated his ankle based on the treatment, no way he is back for next week or even their bowl game.
Also Mauti was carted off and no return yet or update that I have heard.
D nard is taking a beating
Frankly I am surprised they are using him this much. I would have stuck him out there a couple times and used him as a decoy but save the hits for next week. But hey I'll take it, wear him down a bit for the GAME. Sounds good to me.
Seriously. These guys suck. We're going to kill them. But Iowa is going to kill detard first.
And I'm stuck at work missing it.
My life sucks!
Yikes... Here's to a full recovery. Regardless of who he plays for, any fan with an ounce of respect does not wish that on anyone. Thanks for the info...
Tom Crean listens to Nickelback...
Well said. I hate me some TSUN but these are kids playing a game. Speedy recovery to him.
No doubt, and for the most part I hate jersey he is wearing more than any thing else.
Iowa is turrible. It's hard to believe they haven't lost to these scUMbags yet

Indiana with a lead, I will take that!!
How do you know when you hate Oregon? When you walk around campus and see 5 different STUDENTS wearing Oregon jerseys on campus.

If denard keeps holding it with his left hand, I hope we're puttin hats and fists on that ball a week from today. He's holdin it like a load of bread!!!!!!!!!
I like football
All Devin Gardner has been doing is throwing prayers against mediocre B1G secondaries. He is gonna throw so many picks next week.

Gibbons' shirt looks awfully baggy...
/Duff'd It
Iowa's defense just isn't good. In fact, they are bad. The good part is, michigan's defense isn't nearly the unit they are made out to be. Iowa moved with ease on both of their drives.
Michigan QBs taking a ton of hits.
Man, it's a week away, and I already feel like gut punching Hoke.
The Walrus is feasting on Thanksgiving dinner early today.

Who wants the msu-nw game to be 5-5?!
I like football
Unfortunately, Sparty wasn't Sparty enought to let it happen...
/Duff'd It
But they did just give up a 3 run HR, so it is 6-5.
Hahaha, well played RDUBS
I think Brian Griese has Devin Gardner ahead of Braxton in the Heisman race. He is heaping praise on him against a very, very slow Iowa D that can't rush the QB and can't cover the WRs.
I'm pretty sure I complain about this every week, but why to they squish all the terrible games in the noon slot?
For the same reason the student sections are all empty. No one is awake yet...
Yahoo! grabbed a frame of the Toussaint injury if you missed it and are into disgusting pictures. Best wishes for a quick recovery from what looks absolutely horrendous.
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/mauti-toussaint-carted-o...
Oh man, that is a brutal still pic.
ew.
I saw the first replay and knew right away it was bad. Wow. Best wishes.
Class of 2010.
I'm telling you right here and right now. Next week, Ohio State is going to run all over that Michelin D. We are going to score some serious pointage. I am not at all impressed with that UM D.
If the OSU D shows up, we are going to crush Michelin. This is not overconfidence. I am that confident in these Buckeyes. No matter which way the contest today goes.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
Toussaint's injury forced Michigan to show more of the Gardner QB + Denard RB offense than they probably wanted to.
I think you're right- that offense was destined to be next week's surprise.
@ BuckeyeDude
My biggest concern is our secondary having breakdowns. That seems to be the only way Michigan really moves the ball through the air is when there are massive breakdowns in the secondary with receivers running wide open without a defender within 10 yards of them. Ridiculous. And we've all seen our secondary have similar breakdowns at varying points this year.
Also as I watch pieces of this Iowa @ Michigan game I can't get over just how absolutely AWFUL Iowa is. How did they get this bad in just a couple of years? Wow.
The Buckeye DBs were playing 10 yards off the line of scrimmage, or more. They were giving way too much free space to UW receivers. I only remember the OSU D blitzing one time all night. Maybe I was too stoned, I dunno.
I think the OSU D is going to bring more pressure to the UM offense than they did Wisconsin.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
after seeing this blog topic picture of Deenard spooning........maybe he needs to be coached to imaginarily brush his teeth, cause those uppers are awfully yeller.
@JohnBlair
That's not yellow. It's maize.
Looks like Leveon Bell realized he was a Groveport running back after the first couple games. I suppose no pass game hurts him, but seriously he doesn't get much more than 3 yards ever.
Hello, Game week.
I'm not skeered.
Feeling confident actually, M Man. You?
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
It's Sunday morning of Game Week,
and tsun still SUCKS!
Who didn't give Wofford, Georgia Southern, and Jacksonville State the memo that they must bow before the greatness of the SEC?
I know, right?
The SEC teams will all end up winning by big margins, but it's pretty clear this year that the number of teams they have in the top ten is based more on names and past conference success.
After watching ULM, ULL v Florida, and this week, I'm don't think the SEC teams over Clemson, Florida State, Oklahoma, etc should be nearly as automatic as the voters seem to.
Well not South Carolina, still tied in 4th.
What are the odds NW blows it in the fourth again?
Our honor Defend!
Why in the hell is NW throwing the ball up 3 with less than 2 minutes to go?
